This morning when I got to the pier, an elderly veteran handed me a little American flag and I just lost it! TOTALLY boo hoo'd! I am SO SO SO PROUD of my husband!!! I am the luckiest wife EVER! Standing there with all the other family and friends of the USS Carney is just AMAZING! Everyone is just so filled with happiness! I HATE deployments, but I LOVE the way it feels to be pier-side at homecoming! To watch new Daddy's get off to meet their precious little one for the first time is just too much! CRY FEST again! OK, I'm gonna stop now before I can't see to type anymore! HAHA On with some more pictures and short videos! ☺

Route 66

Happy Friday!!! What??? Day 3 of manly cards??? I just don't know what has gotten into me! ☺ I was totally inspired by my Daddy to make this card. He has even traveled all along route 66 in his classic cars in the past! I'm still making good on my vow to post a project from ALL of my cricut cartridges. For this card, I used the Cars cartridge. I actually only bought it because it was on crazy cheap clearance at Walmart, and frankly, I wanted the rewards points! LOL However, after going through the book I really like it! It has some really fun extras and word art too. But I digress...I used Cher {my Gypsy} to weld two signs together to make a shaped card. The numbers are from the Varsity Letter cricut lite cartridge. To finish it off I went into stitching overkill mode. I swear someone will have to pry my Sakura Gelly Roll Pen from my cold, dead fingers! I ♥ my white pen to the moon and back! I should actually say pens, because I have a stockpile! HEHEHE ☺

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!

You will be well served to let your Gypsy help you with this atv cut. Cher and I hid contours on the handlebars because they cut so thin they just ripped. But, other than that, super easy cut! ☺

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BROTHER!!!! ☺

So, today is my big brother Jason's birthday! ♫ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too ♫ hehehe!
I'm 30 and STILL the annoying little sister! HA...It's funny how this card came about because I know NOTHING about racing or the drivers or anything...So I had to text my Sister in law and ask her "what color is Jason's favorite car guy"...She "LOL'd" back. HEHEHE Anyhoo, I guess this guy is Jeff Gordon.  I kept it really simple because I had to fight the overwhelming NEED I have to add ribbon to everything! LOL However.........
I did INDEED use ribbon! See the flag, yep, RIBBON! ☺ And actually that ribbon was found on sheer accident on clearance at Hobby Lobby the day I was looking. Talk about shopping fate! LOVE it when that happens! But I digress, I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the car and driver. The stamp is from PaperTreyInk.com. Oooh, the numbers on the car are from Varsity Letter. ☺

All together now.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!!!!!!!!!!

i ♥ you big brother!

B-day HUGS!

I'm just popping to tell you...

Hey all! I am making good on my promise/vow to post something from every one of my cricut cartridges! I used Carousel for the popcorn container and Slumber Party to make the actual popcorn.  Carousel is meant to be just like a silhouette, but I wanted to make it cheerier. ☺ I think it turned out cute!
And I gasped when I found this cute little sentiment stamp in my stash! {it pays to dig around sometimes} ☺ So, I hope you like my card for today. ☺

Corny-Hugs!

♫ I ♥ the song I found for this card! ♫

Cheeseburger Yumminess ☺

Hello and Happy Sunday! Today is my day to post over on the Cottage Blog. For my card I used the new hamburger die. I cut it out with white cardstock and colored all the pieces with my prismacolor pencils and blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits. I used glossy accents to make the sesame seeds look shiny and more realistic. I think it worked really nicely.
It's hard to see the seeds, looks better in real life. I just LOVE how my little burger turned out! Almost looks good enough to eat, LOL! ☺

Have a burgeriffic day!

Hi there

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY! This card was made entirely with the Lovely Floral Cricut Lite cartridge. I LOVE this cartridge! Not only does it have a gorgeous font, it has a bunch of really pretty images too. I used Cher a.k.a. my Gypsy to weld the scalloped circles together to create my card base. So, that's the card for today...Onto some other info for ya's......

I spent a few hours yesterday going back and labeling my posts so I could have a list of my projects made with specific cricut cartridges. So, on the right side of my blog there are now clickable links that will take you  directly to projects made with whatever cartridge you would like to see. The list is NOT complete as I have WAY more cartridges than are listed so far! I have a sickness, I admit it! ☺ I plan on trying to make and post a project from EVERY SINGLE ONE of my cartridges so that the list can be complete. PHEW I'm tired already! HA I am sad to admit that I have a few older cartridges that have never been used! That is PATHETIC! LOL So, I'm going to dust them off and give them their chance to shine in the glistening lime green glow of the cricut dude! ☺

Have a Fan-Flippin'-Tastic weekend!
Nikki

P.S. I am off to hobby lobby to get a few copies of Scrap and Stamp magazine because PeachyKeenStamps.com and the design team have a 2 page layout in it! How fun is that?! I am bursting at the seams with Peachy Pride! ☺

P.P.S. My friend Emma from MyCreativeTime announced her DVD today! Super duper fun! SO HAPPY FOR YOU MISS EMMA!!! ☺

Ok, for realsies...I'm really going shopping now. HAHAHAHA

Sweet Baby

Hello! My friend Beca has asked me to make her baby shower invites, and this is one idea I came up with this morning. I used the Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge to cut out the adorable little giraffe. I made her a girl by giving her a pretty pink bow around her neck.
The patterned paper is from the Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl stack by K and Company. I swear the colors look much better in real life. Peachy Keen Challenge 32

Hello! It's time for another PeachyKeen Challenge! The challenge this time is to create a card or a layout based on your favorite vacation destination. Your project also must include one of the following 3 things...buttons, brads ,or bling. So, for my card, I chose to do my favorite vacation spot Disney World. And, more specifically, my favorite ride/attraction the Haunted Mansion! I actually LOVE to wait in line for it because of the funny/clever things they have written on the tombstones. So to mimic that, I made up "stampy" sayings for mine. I actually cracked myself up with the middle one! HAHA!
Almost everything came from the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge. Here's what didn't...The clouds are from Stand and Salute...the moon is from Don Juan...and I hand cut the little cobblestone path to the Haunted Mansion. I used the Make a Monster Face Assortment for my two ghosts. For my menacing moon I used the Monster Mash Face Assortment. I hope you will pop over to the Challenge Blog and play along with us! You could win Boogie Board Max, a Memento Ink pad, and an acrylic block! Have a great day!

You are DYNOMITE

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you're having a GREAT day! I am happy to report that after 4 years of celebrating this day alone...I will NOT be alone next year! Woo Hoo for shore duty! Anyhoo, this is just a really quick card and it didn't turn out all that great, but I figured I'd post it anyway. I'm sending it to my sailor and I know he won't notice that it's not my greatest! LOL I used the Independence Day Seasonal Cricut cartridge for the firecracker, and used the Feeling Groovy Cricut Lite cartridge for the "dynomite".
Here's my Simba in his 4th of July vest! HAHAHA
And here are two of my Jinxy-Cedrika. Blurry cuz she is NEVER still!
My poor poor felines! LOL!!!! Their Grandma makes them all kinds of cute outfits! hahahaha Can you imagine if I had a little dog that LIKED being dressed up??!!! Look out Paris Hilton! HAHAHAHA

Happy 4th of July!!!
