Winner....and Thank you, grasshopper!!!

First things first...The winner of the Peachy Keen Santa set is.....Jenny Kozar

Jenny said:You have been busy! Love them all but those chipboard gingy ornaments are too cute! I also love the format you used for your cards.

So fun Nikki thanks for sharing as always!
Jenny Kozar

CONGRATS JENNY!!!! Shoot me an email with your addy so I can ship your new stamps to you!!! And now onto my card that was brought about by a REALLY CUTE thing that my Father in Law said on his visit....

Ok, so this card has a SUPER CUTE story behind it! My hubby was giving his Dad "the tour" of the house. They had walked into the craft room, and I heard his Dad say, "oh, is that all Nikki's grasshopper stuff"??? I was DYING laughing!!!! But I think he's right! I should be a grasshopper because it's all grasshopper green! HAHAHAHA Crickets are brown/black! So, anyhoo I just had to whip up a card for him really quickly to thank him for coming to visit AND for totally crackin' me up!!! ☺I made this so fast I messed up and got white gelly pen on the face, but oh well!

The grasshopper is from Stretch Your Imagination {my 2nd cartridge ever!}...and the sentiment is from the new Scripted Year set from PinkByDesign which I can tell is going to be my new "go to" set! OH and the face is from the Critter Faces Large set from PeachyKeenStamps.com. Ok, that's it for today!

Such a deer!

Hello! I used the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge to make today's card. The lights are supposed to go on the antlers, but I though they looked cuter draped over her. I think this will be a cute thank you for Christmastime.
I used the Critter Faces Large from PeachyKeenStamps for her face. BTW if you are having trouble deciding which size set would be best for you {i say get em all!☺}...I made up a handy size chart for critter faces...click HERE to see. The super sweet "such a deer" sentiment is from the Go Green set from PinkByDesign. OOoooh I also used my new FAVORITE scallop border punch from StampinUp!!! I LOVE that lil' puppy! Anyhoo, see you back here tomorrow for another PeachyKeen challenge!!!! Later alligators!

Hog Wild

Hi Ya'll! ☺ For today's card I used the Country Life cricut cartridge. It has some super cute images on it, and when I saw these pigs I knew they NEEDED PeachyKeen faces! So, I used the Critter Faces Small for their lil' faces. And I decided the sun needed a face too! I used the Cutie Pie Face Assortment for it.
The "Hog Wild" sentiment is from the Punny-licious set by My Pink Stamper. I hope you like my lil' card for today.  Hope you're happier than a hog in mud!

Whooooooo loves you?

Hello! I have been DYING to post this card for a long time! I made this for my Uncle to give to my Aunt for her birthday and her birthday has come and gone, so I can post it now! ☺ Actually her birthday and my husband's were both on Sunday. I would post my hubby's card, but there was an unfortunate diet coke explosion on our road trip over the weekend...and, well, the card kinda bit the dust! LOL...But I digress...back to this card! I was able to make it really bulky because my Nana drove the card back to Illinois with her so it could be hand delivered. I used my fiskars scalloped border punch to punch a strip of paper. I then scored in between all the scallops and did an accordion fold with the strip. Then I busted out the hot glue gun and put glue in the center to make my very own medallion. I think it turned out pretty darn cool! ☺
I cut the owl from the Hoot 'n' Holler cricut lite cartridge. I stamped his hootin' adorable face with the Critter Faces Small from PeachyKeenStamps.com. Well, I hope you like my card...It's actually one of my favorite cards EVER!

Hello! It's challenge time again! For my card I used the adorable stamp called Mouse Gets The Cheese. I used my Create a Critter cricut cartridge to cut out the sentiment and the two hunks of swiss cheese. {it should be some nice aged Wisconsin cheddar as that is where the PeachyQueen resides!} ☺
Here is the sketch for this challenge

Inching by just to say hi

Hello and Happy Saturday friends! I made today's card with the new Live Simply Cricut Lite cartridge. It has some super cute images on it! And never fear if you haven't been able to find any Lite carts at your Walmart, the 1st is almost upon us and they should ALL be stocked then! YEAH!!! Just a pretty basic card with TONS of faux stitching. I used the Critter Faces Small set from PeachyKeenStamps to stamp a little face for my flower. And, of course, I gave her a little bow in her "hair". The sentiment is from PaperTreyInk. And speaking of PTI, I will be getting a HUGE order in the mail from them this week. My UPS ship notification says the package weighs 16 pounds! ;o) That's a whole lotta papery/stampy/ribbony/twiny love to play with! I hope you are having a FABULOUS weekend!!! I am off to shop for a few things to make a project I dreamed of last night...I thought it was so good I BOLTED out of bed and high tailed it to my sketch pad to get it down before wakefulness erased it from my memory. So, stay tuned for that! LOL I am sooooo weird, I know!

Happy Weekend!!!

DinoMite Dad Card

Hello! I am LOVING the new Gypsy update!!! I used the hide contour feature to remove the face that would have cut out in the layer 3 function. This way I was able to use one of my Critter Faces stamps to give my dino a cute face and still have his "spots" cut out. Which you can't see because I filled said cutout spots with lime stickles ;o) I went to Michaels this past week and picked up the new Martha Stewart punch around the page set called Optic Dot. It is a really cool double row, but I needed it to be shorter so I could fit my sentiment on the card...So I just covered up the second row of dots and voila! ;o)

While I was at Michaels I searched and searched for a Father's day stamp or set of some kind and found NONE! Boo! So I used the Happy Father's Day cut from the Wild Card Cartridge.

I hope you're having a DINOMITE weekend!!!!!!!

Dino-Hugs!

PeachyKeen Challenge 29 Recipe Card

Hello! Sorry I'm late posting this today, but I had internet issues. Grrr. The challenge this time is to create a recipe card using your favorite summer BBQ or picnic recipe. For my recipe card I did my ALL TIME FAVORITE pistachio salad a.k.a. "green stuff"! I have LOVED it since I was a baby! mmmmmm

I used vellum to hand cut a frosted bowl for my pistachio salad. I used the sweet faced marshmallows from the Hot Cocoa stamp set for my pistachio salad.  I popped some of the marshmallows up to add dimension.

I did a google search for pistachio's and I found some good images. I thought the nut sticking out of the shell looked kind of like a nut version of ms. pacman...So I used the small Critter Faces set to stamp their eyes. I then {of course!} gave both of my little pistachio girls twine bows in their "hair". Giggle giggle. ;o)
I hope you will play along with us! We will have 2 winners again this time! One will be judged, and one winner will be drawn at random. The judged winner will receive the Funshine Faces stamp set. The random winner will receive the adorable Henny Penny stamp. I look forward to seeing your creations!!!! Happy stamping to you!!!

Pistachio wishes and Marshmallow dreams!

Deer me!

Hello friends! I am in LOVE with Create-a-Critter! And the faces that Peachy Keen Stamps make to go with this cartridge are TO DIE FOR! I mean this little fawn is cute with the "regular" face on the cartridge, but the stamp just takes it to a whole new level of adorableness! SERIOUSLY CUTE!!! Ok, I'll stop gushing now. ;o) The fawn is cut at 3 inches and the face is stamped with the Critter Faces Medium Set. I did some strategic layering of my own to get the brown feet and nose. I cut the base layer twice. Once in the cream and once in dark brown. Then I cut the bottom half of the brown body to get the feet. And then I just freehand cut the nose. Enough talk of paper fawn butchery. LOL
The flowers are cut from the same button as the fawn at 2.25 inches. The clouds are hand cut. The sentiment stamp is from cleardollarstamps.com. I hope you're having a wonderful day!

You're are all very DEER to me!
