there's no bunny like you

Hello and happy Saturday to you! For this card I used the sweet Bunny Dolls set from PeachyKeenStamps. I stamped the bunny on kraft cardstock and cut her out. The patterned paper is from the gorgeous collection called Graceful from Echo Park. I paper pieced her ears and her bow which is also from the Bunny Dolls set. I added a bit of glossy accents to her nose.
The cute sentiment is from the Color Me Happy set from MyCreativeTime. I hope you're having a great weekend! The new movie on HBO tonight is Bridesmaids...if you haven't seen it...you're missing out on the funniest female cast ever in the history of the world. HA. Melissa McCarthy {Mike and Molly} is hysterical AND she's from my hometown of Plainfield Illinois! :)

You're Cool!

Hiya! Nikki here with a card made using the cutest little surfer dude ever! Boogie Board Max is just, like totally awesome dude! {that was me using surfer lingo} I am just a tad obsessed with paper piecing, so that's what I did with Boogie Board Max. Admittedly it is a time consuming process, but I personally find it incredibly relaxing! And the outcome is just totally tubular! ;)
I used the Beach Bum collection from Fancy Pants Designs to paper piece him. And that perfect sentiment  is from the Cheep Talk set. I think any little boy {or big boy} would be like totally stoked to get this card in the mail. :)

Have a GREAT day!!!

Throwback Thursday

Hello! Welcome to another Throwback Thursday with MyCreativeTime. For this challenge, use any "older" cartridge and make a project of your choice. I used the fabulous Script Type Backgrounds on my card. I stamped the background and inked it up with distress ink in tumbled glass.
I cut that simple butterfly from the April Showers cricut cartridge and stamped it also with the Script Type Background. I inked it up with shabby shutters distress ink and then sprinkled a little water on while the ink was still wet to get a splotchy look. Then I heat set it and spritzed with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister to add some shine. To finish this little butterfly off I wrapped some black embroidery thread around it. OH and the cute little "hi" is from the Teeny Tag Greetings set.

Ok, pop over to Emma's Blog to see the awesomeness she created...and the awesomeness that the rest of the DT created ;)...........AND to play along in the challenge! :)

Quack quack ;)

Hello! I hope your day was just ducky! ;) I finally got my paws on the lacy circle nesties. I have wanted them forever to use with my fiskars apron lace border punch. Looks so cute together! I stamped the cutest duck ever from the Duck Dolls set from PeachyKeenStamps. I just LOVE this set to pieces!!! One of my all time absolute favorites! I paper pieced this sweetie with paper from the Springtime collection from Echo Park. Gosh, yellow makes me happy.
This adorable duckie from the Duck Dolls set is also a die!!! The die is called Duck and Egg...AND there is another coordinating die called Duck Accessories. So quackin' cute! ;)

Ok...are you watching Dancing With The Stars??? The Voice??? Hate having to pick one and to DVR the other.....such PROBLEMS!!! Baaaahahahahahaha

thank you

Hiya. I ordered some sticky back canvas to try out. It is super cool stuff! I cut a piece with the XL Label die from MyCreativeTime. I stamped and inked it with distress stains in broken china and shabby shutter....Well I HATED how dark it turned out! But I didn't want to waste it so I did some googling and found a video about using embossing powders on the back/sticky part. So I made a little mask with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch and then heat embossed with clear powder. You can see the shine here
Because I used clear you can see the cool texture of the canvas through it. Oh and I removed the mask and white embossed that. It didn't turn out perfect, but I think it's cool. ;) Stitching through the canvas with twine was tricky, but I looked too plain without it. :) The sentiment is from PaperTreyInk.com.

Happy good tv night! ;)

I heat embossed the little argyle squares from the Coffee Break set. I colored them with broken china and spiced marmalade distress inks. Ok....that's it! :)

Fun Birdies :)

Shocker...I colored something else rainbowy! HA ;) I just adore this bird from the Follow Your Heart set from MarketStreetStamps. I used distress inks in barn door, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, shabby shutters, broken china, and a little seedless preserves. I this spritzed with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister...you can see the shine here...
For this one I spritzed pretty close so I could get a splotchy look. If you spritz from farther away, it won't be splotchy. The sentiment is from the Color Me Happy set from MyCreativeTime. And since I just couldn't put this sweet birdie stamp down.....
For this one I stamped my FAVORITE background ever called Sweet Lace from MarketStreetStamps. I paper pieced the bird from Follow Your Heart and used distress inks in broken china, shabby shutters, and faded jeans. SEE no rainbow! ;)
I did mist this one with perfect pearls and water as well, but it's a more subtle look. The sentiment on this one is also from the Color Me Happy set from MyCreativeTime

My Creative Time's March Stamp Release BLOG HOP!

Hello!!! You should have arrived from Kim's Blog, but if you didn't, head back to Emma's Blog to start at the beginning. :) For my card I used the argyle stamp from the new Coffee Backgrounds set. I stamped it twice and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I cut it into strips and inked it up to make a rainbow. {I need a rainbow intervention!} I used distress inks in barn door, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, shabby shutters, broken china, and seedless preserves. I used those same colors to get the effect on the cute coffee cup from the Coffee Break set. I cut it out {with the die that comes in that set}. Then I stamped the outline again so I could paper piece on my rainbow portion.
The sentiment is from the Color Me Happy set also from MyCreativeTime

Be joyful in hope...

Hiya! Today I am guest designing for Tanner a.k.a MrCricutCrazy. First off let me say that my search for the PERFECT yellow ink is now over!!! This is Archival Ink by Ranger in Chrome Yellow and I LOVE it!!! It's just fabulous and so sunny! I ♥ yellow!!! Tanner sells it in his shop. I seriously dig Archival Ink...totally stamps like a dream! But I digress...I used the new Christ is my Life set from MrCricutCrazy for my sentiment. Lots of fabulous faith based sentiments in that set.
I used that Chrome Yellow to stamp the Sweet Lace background from MarketStreetStamps. I used that stamp also for the butterflies.

Ok...be sure to pop over to Tanner's Shop...this and lots of other sets are on SALE! :)

You are my world!

Hello! It seems that my obsession with MarketStreetStamps backgrounds is continuing. :) ALSO I am inking everything that isn't nailed down around here rainbow colored! HAHA... I stamped the awesome Here Comes The Sun background with embossing ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I added color with the following distress inks...barn door, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, shabby shutters, broken china, milled lavender, and a little seedless preserves. I stamped the sweet little heart from the Follow Your Heart set also from MarketStreetStamps. I cut it out and added shine with a sakura clear star glitter pen. You can see the sparkles it gives here...
The sentiment is from the My Favorite Sayings set from MyCreativeTime. Now, if you have followed my lil' ole blog for a while, you will understand that I had to FORCE myself NOT to white stitch around the edges!!! LOL I just knew it would ruin it, but it was still difficult! ;)

I hope you have had a GREAT weekend... I love Sunday night TV...and remember, tonight is Oprah's interview with Whitney Houston's family...JUICY! ;)

Garden wheelies....

Hiya! Happy weekend to ya! I started off by stamping my background with the Grampa's Pajamas stamp. I white heat embossed it and colored it with broken china distress ink. Then I did some strategic stamping and paper piecing to make the cute little gnomie get a wheelie ride. The gnome is from the Gnomegrown set. The wheel barrow is from the Garden Wheelies set.
The sentiment is also from the Garden Wheelies set. I ♥ PeachyKeenStamps!!!

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!!!

You COLOR my world!

So I guess today is play with MarketStreetStamps background stamps day in Nikki-ville!!! :) For this redonkulously simple card I stamped the Argyle background stamp with Tim Holtz embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder on white cardstock. {you could use white powder here}...There are 7 rows on this stamp and I cut evenly between the rows to get strips to ink. I kept row 4 to use as a spacer to add my sentiment. I inked with the following distress colors...barn door, spiced marmalade, mustard seed, shabby shutters, broken china, milled lavender, and a smidgen of seedless preserves. Now, my embossing didn't end up perfect cuz I need new powder BUT I still love how this turned out!
This is a full A2 sized card. Like I said in my post earlier today, MarketStreetStamps backgrounds really DO COVER the front of an A2 card. ♥ ♥ ♥ The sentiment is from the Simply Everything set from PinkByDesign. It fit this card just perfectly! :) love when that happens!

Ok, I swear I'm done posting today...heheehehe

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. Did you see my other card today??? scroll down :)

Poppies

Hello! Here is a quick and simple card I made this morning. I stamped the Sweet Lace background stamp from MarketStreetStamps on white cardstock. Pssst...This is probably my all time favorite background stamp EVER...SO PRETTY!!!! MarketStreetStamps backgrounds WILL cover the entire front of a regular A2 sized card. ♥ that! I used the Real Estate Sign punch to cut out the black shapes. I then cut two strips of white cardstock to .75 inches and stamped the pretty flowers from the Gnomegrown set by PeachyKeenStamps. Voila! Pretty shaped images using a punch! :)
I colored the flowers with prismacolor colored pencils and then went over them with a Spica glitter marker. See the sparkle? :)

I hope you're having a GREAT day so far...and I hope it just get better! :)
