Happy "Hello Thursday" ;o)

Hey everyone! Happy "Hello Thursday"...When Provo Craft said they were going to release 100 cartridges this year, well I guess they weren't kidding! Although many of the new cartridges are "cake" carts to go along with the Cricut Cake machine, they can still be used with paper.
I only managed to get this image before the cricut site started being screwy. This cartridge is called "Create a Critter" and it is CUTE! I am definitely going to get this one and the "Robotz" one too. Click HERE to see ALL the new cartridges. I am off to go play with my new Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I will try to be back later to post a creation of some sort. ;o)

Happy Cricuting!

Lucky Ducky Card

Hello, and happy Sunday! I decided to break in the new Duck Dolls stamp set from PeachyKeenStamps.com today. I also wanted to make another St. Patties Day card...So I cut out a shamrock from my Paper Doll Dress Up cricut cartridge and folded her wing over to "hold" it. To make that work...stamp your image twice and color both. Then cut out one of them and flip it over and color the part that will show when folded over. Then add pop dots to the back to raise it up...and voila! Your lil' creature can hold something. Make sense? ;o)

You can see what I mean in this picture I think. Anyhoo, I used Cosmo Cricket's "Garden Variety" mini stack...Papertreyink kraft cardstock...and the ribbon is from the Earth Love collection also by Cosmo Cricket.  Well I hope you like it and have a great night!

Ducky Hugs,
Nikki

Team Edward Cards

Hi peeps! Here are a few different versions of the Team Edward cards I made for a few of my fellow "Twi-heart" friends to celebrate the upcoming release of New Moon on DVD. I just ADORE this sweet Edward stamp from The Greeting Farm. CUTE right??!!!
So I made a few extra in case any of you would like to gift them (maybe with the DVD) to any Twilight saga lovers in your life. They are pop dotted to death and chock full of dimension {see last picture}....so if you want one...click on the SECURE paypal buttons on the right sidebar. ;o) Card will come in a protective mailer with self sealing envelope.

I have to point out that as I compose this post, Twilight is on in the background! LOL...I just CAN NOT get enough Edward Cullen! I have trouble dealing with the fact that he's a fictional character! HAHAHA...

Hello and HAPPY NEW CHALLENGE DAY! For my card I used the super cute Bee Happy set for my bee and sentiment. I used super FAB paper from a Basic Grey collection called Urban Prairie. I colored the sweet lil' bee in and made her wings sparkle with my Sakura glitter pen. {click on the picture to enlarge and see the glitter detail}  To finish I added ribbon and popped the focal image, and the sentiment up.
So here is my card for this challenge...Now it's YOUR turn! I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful creations! ;o) So...........here is the sketch!!!! Almost forgot, you MUST use a PEACHY KEEN stamp somewhere on your project.
The prize for this week is one of the BRAND NEW Spring stamp sets that can be seen on the home page at peachykeenstamps.com. Now hop on over to the challenge blog to see what the other talented members of the design team created. Have a Stamp-tastic day!

Gift Bag and Matching Card

Hello, and HAPPY SATURDAY!!! I am trapped at home until at least Monday due to vehicle issues. I "should" be able to pick my van up from the shop on Monday. {fingers crossed!}...Thank goodness I have crafting to keep me occupied! Anyhoo, my friend Sasha has been a LIFESAVER carting me back and forth to the auto repair shop...So I wanted to give her a little something as a thank you. I got this super cute felt gift bag in the dollar spot at Target and I made this shamefully simple card to match it. I just cut out the three tulips by hand...GASP! NO CRICUT! So even though this is no masterpiece I still wanted to share it with you all. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Now back to my craft zone I go!
Toodles,
Nikki

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Hiya everyone! Here is just a quick card I made. I used my Animal Kingdom cricut cartridge to cut the bunny at 4 inches and then stamped her face with the Animal Faces set from PeachyKeenStamps.com. I cut her twice so I could cut off the arms and pop them up to hold the carrot from the new Faceless Veggies Two set. To finish it off, I didn't have an Easter stamp, so I just wrote the sentiment myself. :o) Just an FYI... the colors seem kinda "off" in this picture, but I swear the colors match in real life. ;o)

Have a GREAT day!

Nikki
