We're birds of a feather

Hello! My new goodies from this release by MyFavoriteThings arrived, and I just had to color a birdie! I'm playing along with the MyFavoriteThings Sketch Challenge. The new Birds Of Paradise set is sooooo awesome! Here is my card...

I wanted to keep everything white, so that super colorful bird could be the star of the show. I colored him with my Copics...I'd list the colors, but that might take a year. ;) The bird and greeting are from the Birds Of Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings. To finish him off, I gave him a googlie eye. :)

You're My Universe

Hiya! Today I made a card to play along in the Paper Smooches Challenge. It's anything goes this time, and here's my card...

I started my creating my Valentiney galaxy background. I used the following Distress Inks... worn lipstick, picked raspberry, barn door, and festive berries. After I got it how I liked it, I splattered white acrylic paint on to make "stars". I used the adorable Space Cadet stamp set by Paper Smooches. I colored in the planets and the alien dude with Prismacolor colored pencils.

The greeting is also from the Space Cadet stamp set. To finish it off, I added clear wink of stella glitter marker, sequins, and glossy accents.

Peachy Keen Challenge 32

Hello! It's time for another PeachyKeen Challenge! The challenge this time is to create a card or a layout based on your favorite vacation destination. Your project also must include one of the following 3 things...buttons, brads ,or bling. So, for my card, I chose to do my favorite vacation spot Disney World. And, more specifically, my favorite ride/attraction the Haunted Mansion! I actually LOVE to wait in line for it because of the funny/clever things they have written on the tombstones. So to mimic that, I made up "stampy" sayings for mine. I actually cracked myself up with the middle one! HAHA!

Almost everything came from the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge. Here's what didn't...The clouds are from Stand and Salute...the moon is from Don Juan...and I hand cut the little cobblestone path to the Haunted Mansion. I used the Make a Monster Face Assortment for my two ghosts. For my menacing moon I used the Monster Mash Face Assortment. I hope you will pop over to the Challenge Blog and play along with us! PeachyKeen Challenge 29 Recipe Card

                    

Hello! Sorry I'm late posting this today, but I had internet issues. Grrr. The challenge this time is to create a recipe card using your favorite summer BBQ or picnic recipe. For my recipe card I did my ALL TIME FAVORITE pistachio salad a.k.a. "green stuff"! I have LOVED it since I was a baby! mmmmmm

I used vellum to hand cut a frosted bowl for my pistachio salad. I used the sweet faced marshmallows from the Hot Cocoa stamp set for my pistachio salad.  I popped some of the marshmallows up to add dimension.

I did a google search for pistachio's and I found some good images. I thought the nut sticking out of the shell looked kind of like a nut version of ms. pacman...So I used the small Critter Faces set to stamp their eyes. I then {of course!} gave both of my little pistachio girls twine bows in their "hair". Giggle giggle. ;o)
