Stand Under My Umbrella

Hello! Here is the card I made for my design team day for the Scrapping Cottage. I used the Duck w/Egg die and Duck Accessories die. Same dies as my card from yesterday. And if you're wondering...YES they come with ADORABLE face stamps!!! PEACHY FACES RULE! ;)
The sentiment is from the Spring Has Sprung set from PinkByDesign. The patterned papers are from the Stella and Rose "gertie papers" that I am OBSESSED with and have been using every little bit of it down to tiny scrap! ;) Have a scraptastical day!

You're eggsellent

Hello! For my card today I used the Hatching Bunny die. I cut it out in white cardstock and used only my Tim Holtz Distress inks and sponge blending tool to color it. I colored the egg with distress ink in worn lipstick and spritzed it with water from a mini mister to make it look dyed. I colored the bunny with distress ink in scattered straw. And I used tumbled glass to color the two blue parts.

The sentiment is from the Hoppy Easter set from PinkByDesign. Ok, that's it for today! See ya later alligators!

With Sympathy,,,,,,,and a WINNER

Hello! Here is a picture tutorial for you on how to create your own background paper with your die cuts and distress inks. Here I used the Ornate Dragonfly die. I cut my dragonflies out of Post It Craft paper which is adhesive backed and just perfect for this technique. Ink up your sponge applicator tool and pounce the ink on. Do not swirl it on or you will lift up the "masks" you've stuck down.

Here it is after applying the inks...

Starting to peel up the masks to reveal the "magic" ;)

Here I inked up a white dragonfly, and then sprayed it with perfect pearls mixed with water in a mini mister. Makes a super pretty shiny effect! And here is my finished card...

Here you can see the shine a little better...

Ok, I hope you likey! ;)

♥ Nikki ♥

OH...the sentiment is from the Sympathy set from PinkByDesign.

And my WINNER from Emma's Blog Hop is...

Julia...Julia said...I can definilty see vintage in that first card. It's beautiful on camera, and I'm sure even more beautiful in real life! Thanks for sharing

Ok Julia...you are now enterered for the grand prize of all of Emma's new release...BUT you do win her exclusive 2 stamp set!!! YEAH! I'll give Emma your email! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello! Happy Superbowl day. Before the game madness begins, I have a picture tutorial on how I made my card for The Scrapping Cottage today. I used the Cupid Mini die and cut out a bunch in opposite directions out of Post-It craft paper. Post-It craft paper is self adhesive backed, so it works great for masking. I arranged them in a pattern I liked and then sprayed with viva pink glimmer mist...
Zap it with your heat tool to dry and set it quickly...

Peel them off and BAM you've got custom patterned paper! Using Post-It paper gives a cool water colored effect, but you could use vinyl for a crisper look. {I think}

I used Emma's You Had Me At Chocolate stamp set for the sentiment...I totally goofed and double stamped it cuz I missed a spot...It made a cool shadowed effect so I just left it...HAPPY ACCIDENT! hehe

Okie dokie...that's it for today! HAPPY SUPERBOWL PEOPLES!!!

♥ Nikki ♥

OH...almost forgot...here is the inside of the card...I used the Sympathy set from PinkByDesign....I'm sending this card to my Nana...her valentine {my Papa} passed away last year.

Dino-Mite!

Hey there guys and gals! I think you're all super groovy in a far out way! For today's card I used the Hippie Surfer Van die from The Scrapping Cottage. It actually has super cute flowers and a surfboard too, but I chose not to use those this time. I wanted my van to be more 70's rather than surfery. Ya dig? I just kept this card really basic, but I just ♥ that cute little van!
I used silver glittery glazed brads for the hubcaps. I hope you're have a great day...and that ain't no jive turkey! ☺☺☺
