Throwback Thursday

Hello! Sorry this is getting posted late, blogger was being a meanie to me. Anyhoo, welcome to the first Throwback Thursday of 2012! For my first card here I used the basketball from the Slam Dunk set to create my patterned paper. I also cut one out for the little boy to hold. I used distress inks in ripe persimmon and a little bit of rusty hinge. The little boy is from Everyday Paper Dolls.
The # 1 on his jersey is from the Sports Sentiments set. His face is from the Wide Eyed Kids asst from PeachyKeenStamps. And just for fun I gave him "real" shoelaces. ;)
For this card I used the Black Belt set to stamp the yin yang background paper.  Super easy!

The big yin yang is from the Pagoda cartridge. I put it on a wobble so it wiggles. :) Scoot on over to Emma's blog to see her and the rest of the dt's awesome creations...AND to play along!

EEK! I guess I should tell ya what the theme is! LOL....it's sports themed

I "woof" you!

Hello! For this card I used my favorite doggy on any of the cricut cartridges. She is from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and I cut her out twice so I could pop up her front legs and ears for dimension. She is made adorable with the addition of a face from the Happy Go Lucky Dog Face Asst. from PeachyKeenStamps.com. Oh how I ♥ peachy faces!!!
The super cute sentiment is from the Razzel set from Mr.CricutCrazy

I hope you're having a great Sunday!

Nurse Emma...at your service ;)

Giggle giggle. Hehehehe...This is the card I made and sent to Emma's hubby Aaron. ☺ "Emma" is from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge. Her candy striper dress is actually from Mrs. Claus on the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The shirt is from Everyday Paper Dolls. Her nurse hat is from Everyday Paper Dolls too.

I used my dymo label maker and clear tape to make her nurse tag. ☺ Her face is, of course,  from the Princess Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps.com. Otay...I'm off to get inky! :)

Happy Hump day! For my card today I used the Wild Card cartridge for my Spinner Card base and wheel. The cute astronaut is from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I used the Boy Mates face assortment and the Wide Eyed Kids face assortment from PeachyKeenStamps.com for my card. His face changes as you spin the wheel around. {spin the little notched circle on the side}....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BROTHER!!!! ☺

So, today is my big brother Jason's birthday! ♫ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too ♫ hehehe!
I'm 30 and STILL the annoying little sister! HA...It's funny how this card came about because I know NOTHING about racing or the drivers or anything...So I had to text my Sister in law and ask her "what color is Jason's favorite car guy"...She "LOL'd" back. HEHEHE Anyhoo, I guess this guy is Jeff Gordon.  I kept it really simple because I had to fight the overwhelming NEED I have to add ribbon to everything! LOL However.........
I did INDEED use ribbon! See the flag, yep, RIBBON! ☺ And actually that ribbon was found on sheer accident on clearance at Hobby Lobby the day I was looking. Talk about shopping fate! LOVE it when that happens! But I digress, I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the car and driver. The stamp is from PaperTreyInk.com. Oooh, the numbers on the car are from Varsity Letter. ☺

All together now.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!!!!!!!!!!

i ♥ you big brother!

B-day HUGS!

PeachyKeen Challenge-30 *Shadowbox*

It's challenge time again! The challenge this time is to create an 8x8 or 12x12 layout to go into a shadowbox. If you only want to do the layout, that's fine. I admit I had a HARD time with this! So,  I apologize for being late today. Anyhoo, I finally found pictures that I wanted to use. These pictures are of me and my Mama waaaaaay back in 1982. ;o) I was THRILLED when I found that yellow gingham paper in my stash because it matched the little swim suit I have on in the pictures perfectly! Love it when that happens! ;o) I took the layout out of the shadowbox to get some better pictures to share.
I used the adorable starfish from the Sea Animals & Creatures stamp set. And I stamped my paper version of tiny me with the Everyday Character Assortment. I just LOVE those faces! Here's a closer look.......
I hope you will pop over to the Challenge Blog and play along with us! This challenge will have two winners. One judged, and one random. So that means you have TWO chances to WIN! The prize for the judged winner is a $25 gift certificate to PeachyKeenStamps. The prize for the random winner is Natalee.

Have a SUNSHINEY day!

Puppy Love Picture Frame

Hello, and happy Friday! I made this frame for Megan from AboveRubiesStudio to say thank you for including my projects in the DVD she made along with Tammy Skinner called Gypsy A to Z. You may be wondering why there's a picture of Donny Osmond in it...She is a huge fan of his! She even has pictures with him that I hope will fit in the frame. ;o) This is the first frame I've ever made and it was super fun! I mailed it on Monday along with some other "thank you" goodies. She really made me HAPPY, and I hope this will make her happy. ;O) I hope all of YOU have a fabulous weekend!

Devlin's Pig Farm 2 page layout

Howdy y'all! Yee Haw, it's Saturday!!! This project is going in my cousin's little boys bedroom in two 12x12 shadowbox frames. He is OBSESSED with pigs, and I hope he LOVES this! I sure had fun making it! OINK OINK
I used a few cartridges for this...Everyday Paper dolls for the farmer and the tractor. I cut the tractor twice so I could make my own layers.
I wrote "Devlin Tractor Co." really little on the tractor. ;o)
I LOVE how my little farmer turned out! He even has "snaps" for his overalls!
Back to listing cartridges...The barn, windmill, and hay bundles are from Old West...The piggies are from Animal Kingdom...And I think the clouds are from Create-a-Critter...Oh, and the title font is the marker feature from Pooh Font. I hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Farmtastic wishes!

Congrats Grad 2010 Cards

Hello everyone! Graduation season will soon be upon us, so I wanted to get a head start! I used my Gypsy to design the custom 2010 cards using my Pooh Font cricut cartridge. I then made girl and boy graduate dolls with different  hair colors using the Everyday Paper Dolls cricut cartridge. I made the tassels for their hats with embroidery floss and attached them with mini brads to look like the little "knob" on the top of the hats.  For their diploma's, I just tightly rolled paper and tied them with embroidery floss. I hope your week is going great so far! Happy CREATING to you!!!!

Hugs,
Nikki

Birthday Fun with Create-a-Critter

My friend's lil' guy is turning one at the end of the month, and this is the card I made for him. I hope he likes it, LOL! The train, lion, balloon, and clouds are all from Create-a-Critter. The train track is from Everyday Paper Dolls. I used my Gypsy to size everything to fit by creating a 4.25 x 5.5 rectangle. I made sure all the pieces fit nicely in it (representing the card front)...and then I just deleted the rectangle before cutting. SUPER EASY! This card looks pretty simple, but it took a while because of all the white pen work I did. Here is the side view to show what's popped up.
Well I hope you're having a GREAT DAY!

Think Pink Puppy Card

I know I've said before that I don't like to toot my own horn, but HONK HONK! LOL!!! I think this may be the cutest thing I have ever made! I cut out the puppy at 3 3/4 inches on blackout and the regular cut from Everyday Paper Dolls. I cut two so I could stamp the face on the blackout head, and use the regular cut to give this sweet girl dimension. I cut the front legs and ears off (eek!) and then attached them to the blackout cut with rolled up glue dots and pop dots. You can see what I mean in the second picture above. Her ADORABLE face is stamped with the new 5-7" Everyday Character Face Parts stamps from peachykeenstamps.com. For my sentiment I used "think pink" from The Pink Stampers new stamp set called Simply Sweet Occasions. Finally I added some rhinestones for her collar and for the dots of the i's. I hope you are having a great day!

Spinner Pinwheel Cards

HI! ok, so i hate to toot my own horn but BEEP BEEP!!! LOL i am THRILLED with how these turned out! alright lets get down to the details...first i cut the cards with my Wild Card cartridge (page 51) on blackout at 5.25 inches...then cut the liners (the circle that spins inside)...i then CAREFULLY stamped my images through the windows making sure not to get ink on the front of the cards...i then colored in my aliens with prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits..........i cut the cute sparkly aliens out with my Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge(page 65) at 3.25 inches out of glitter paper...then white gel pen faux stitched around them...added googly eyes...the balloon is also from EDPD (page 43)
you can see in the second card how the little blue alien is "peeking" out...there are 5 total aliens that you can see when you spin the wheel...........all papers are DCWV
have a GREAT day!
nikki
p.s. when i have what i consider to be a good idea i like to do a few similar cards...plus, it's a good use of cardstock ;o)
