Hello! Happy Superbowl day. Before the game madness begins, I have a picture tutorial on how I made my card for The Scrapping Cottage today. I used the Cupid Mini die and cut out a bunch in opposite directions out of Post-It craft paper. Post-It craft paper is self adhesive backed, so it works great for masking. I arranged them in a pattern I liked and then sprayed with viva pink glimmer mist...
Zap it with your heat tool to dry and set it quickly...
Peel them off and BAM you've got custom patterned paper! Using Post-It paper gives a cool water colored effect, but you could use vinyl for a crisper look. {I think}
I used Emma's You Had Me At Chocolate stamp set for the sentiment...I totally goofed and double stamped it cuz I missed a spot...It made a cool shadowed effect so I just left it...HAPPY ACCIDENT! hehe
Okie dokie...that's it for today! HAPPY SUPERBOWL PEOPLES!!!
♥ Nikki ♥
OH...almost forgot...here is the inside of the card...I used the Sympathy set from PinkByDesign....I'm sending this card to my Nana...her valentine {my Papa} passed away last year.
what cute paper you made and I like how the card came out. now you have to use the black cupids in a project... Get busy girl...lol Dawn RI

I didn't even think of this when they started introducing Post-it papers. I honestly thought...why would you want it?
ReplyDeleteAre there other ways I can use it. I need another idea to justify the expense.
Thanks again for a great idea! You really should work for Hallmark or something!
