Merry Christmas

Hello! Here is a card I made with a specific, fellow yellow loving friend in mind. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies from MyCreativeTime. I used distress ink and water to make my bokeh backgrounds. I silver heat embossed the tree from the Family And Friends set by Hero Arts. The Merry Christmas die cuts are from the Holiday Tags set by MyCreativeTime. I should say that I used the round ink blenders and water to remove color to make the light spots. Easy peasy.

Happy Christmas Eve, Eve!

Sending a little happy your way.

Hello! Today is the first day of the Stretch Your Dies class at OnlineCardClasses. Here is my take on the technique the fabulous Jennifer McGuire showed. I used the Happy Trio Dienamics dies from MyFavoriteThings for my background and for the greeting. I used the biggest "happy" die cut for the greeting, and added glossy accents to it to make it pop. I used the Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies from MyCreativeTime for the circle. For the greeting, I used the Sending Sunshine set from Wplus9

I hope your week is off to a happy start.

Tag It Tuesday- "Hello Sunshine"

Hello! It's Tag It Tuesday at MyCreativeTime. Today we make tags, or in my case, add tags to a card. ;) We also had the above photo and color palette to use as inspiration. I LOVE yellow and grays! Here is my card...
I started by stamping the Sripey Background with Lemon Chiffon ink from SimonSaysStamp. I'm so glad I found that color! Such a great soft yellow...AND it's the same formula ink as my beloved Hero Arts Shadow Inks. So, I highly recommend those inks too. :) I stamped the Cartoon Cloud Background with Soft Granite HA shadow ink on the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow, and Tag Dies. I also cut another one out of vellum. I cut the "hello" from the Speech Bubble Sentiments set 4 times and glued them together to give it a little umph.
I made the sun with the Build A Banner set. I colored it with the Lemon Chiffon ink and added clear wink of stella glitter pen for sparkle. I stamped "sunshine" using the Alpha Pack with Soft Granite ink on the banner from the Vintage Labels Dies. I added glossy accents to the hello...a few sequins and it's done. :)

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more creations.

p.s. There are also sneaks here...will be available next Friday the 26th. :)

MCT Designer Challenge

Hiya! It's time for another Designer Challenge at MyCreativeTime! This time we have the above photo and color combo to use as inspiration. Here is my card...

I used the Stitched Chunky Jar Dies to create my shaker window. I inked up the lid with soft granite Hero Arts shadow ink. I used the tall font in the Alpha Pack to white heat emboss my greeting on the shaker window.

I cut the lemons from white cardstock with the Preserves Cricut cartridge. I colored them with squeezed lemonade distress ink, and lemon yellow Hero Arts shadow ink. I used shabby shutters and crushed olive distress inks on the leaves.

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more projects and to play along!

Sending Sunshine...and TODAY ONLY SALE ALERT :)

Hiya! I know that many of you are still buried in snow, but here in Southern California it's sunny as all get out. :) For my card today I started by stamping my background with the sweet little sun from the new February 2014 set from PeachyKeenStamps. I used my new favorite Lemon Yellow Hero Arts Shadow Ink...the perfect yellow! :) The greeting is also from the February 2014 set from PeachyKeenStamps
I filled my shaker window with sequins. SEQUINS! :) Anyhoo...that sweet sun on the shaker window is from the new set called Tropical Vacation Kitty from PeachyKeenStamps. And that face??? It's from the fabulous new Kawaii Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps. LOVE! To finish it off, I coated the sun with glossy accents to make it shiny.

PeachyKeen Challenge-30 *Shadowbox*

It's challenge time again! The challenge this time is to create an 8x8 or 12x12 layout to go into a shadowbox. If you only want to do the layout, that's fine. I admit I had a HARD time with this! So,  I apologize for being late today. Anyhoo, I finally found pictures that I wanted to use. These pictures are of me and my Mama waaaaaay back in 1982. ;o) I was THRILLED when I found that yellow gingham paper in my stash because it matched the little swim suit I have on in the pictures perfectly! Love it when that happens! ;o) I took the layout out of the shadowbox to get some better pictures to share.
I used the adorable starfish from the Sea Animals & Creatures stamp set. And I stamped my paper version of tiny me with the Everyday Character Assortment. I just LOVE those faces! Here's a closer look.......
I hope you will pop over to the Challenge Blog and play along with us! This challenge will have two winners. One judged, and one random. So that means you have TWO chances to WIN! The prize for the judged winner is a $25 gift certificate to PeachyKeenStamps. The prize for the random winner is Natalee.

Have a SUNSHINEY day!
