Cards and an announcement :)

Hello! I just wanted to pop in and share some cards that haven't made it to my blog. I share LOTS of cards on my Instagram, it's so much quicker! You can click on my IG over on the sidebar. :) I also wanted to say that after being closed for 5+ years, I have reopened my Etsy Shop! YAY! Cards for a good cause :)

Hello! This morning I saw a post on facebook from Rescue Junkie, {the organization that rescued my sweet Wrigley Pearl from a kill shelter} it talked about how desperately they need funds to help with their efforts to save lives. Well, I decided I'd make 2 cards to auction off and donate that money to Rescue Junkie...and maybe inspire some donations for this great organization as well! If you're able to donate even a few dollars it means so much. :)

I haven't done inlaid die cutting in a long time...it's such a cool technique! I used the adorable Lucky Dog set by MFT. I colored them with my Copics.

Hello! I hope your week is off to a nice start. I made this card tonight for the current Sketch Challenge for MyFavoriteThings. I used the new to me Sweet Succulents set by MyFavoriteThings. I stamped and masked, and masked and stamped. :) I colored them with my Copics. So fun!

I used the Stitched Squares Dies and You Touched My Heart by MyCreativeTime to make the shaker. The greeting is also from the Cheeky Monkey set.

You're kinda pawsome

Hiya! I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday. Here is the card I made to say a ginormous THANK YOU to the folks at Rescue Junkie who saved my little girl Wrigley from death row, and cared for her until we found each other. We just love our new baby girl to pieces! So grateful! Anyhoo, I used the adorable Cat-itude set by My Favorite Things. I watercolored Wrigley, and her new big brother Simba. The talk bubbles are from the A Birdie Told me set by Lawn Fawn. 

Take a look at Wrigley helping me choose Copic colors for a different card. It's exhausting. :)

You're a cheeky monkey.

Hiya! I am in love with the new Cheeky Monkey set by My Favorite Things. SO CUTE! I used the hill stamp from the new Ewe Are The Best set by My Favorite Things. I colored the monkey, grass, and sky with my Copics. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies, Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies, and banner die from the Chocolate Greetings set all by MyCreativeTime.

Hello! I finally played with the London Mouse set by My Favorite Things. It's such a fun and quirky set. I stamped the scene, and drew in a sidewalk and street. I drew a teeny talk bubble, and wrote "ello" for a greeting. I watercolored with my distress markers.

Hello! I used the adorable Reindeer Games set by Mama Elephant for this card. I started by using the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies by MyCreativeTime to cut the panel. Then I used the super fun Stitched Interactive Window Trio die by MyFavoriteThings. I stamped and colored my images with Copics. 

And the sweet reindeer are hiding in there. Eek! :) The greetings is from an old PeachyKeenStamps set that is no longer available.

Hello...half b/w half rainbow

'Ello! The fabulous Sandy Allnock has been on Periscope live all day doing a fantastic watercolor painting of a Mama and baby zebra...that has had water spilled on them and turned the puddle rainbow colored. It's flippin' genius. GENIUS I say! So, I was incredibly inspired and made this card.  I used the Birds Of Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings. I wanted my card to be very graphic, so I masked and stamped them they way I wanted them. Then I penciled in 2 lines to tell me where to do the colored bit. I colored them all with my Copics. The greeting is from the You Gnome Me set by MyFavoriteThings.

Happiest of holidays

Hello! I'm playing along in the current MFT Sketch and Color Challenges. Here is my take on both challenges... 

I used the adorable new Santa's Elves stamp set by MyFavoriteThings. I colored him and the colored strips of paper with my Copics. I used the Stitched Oval Dies and the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies by MyCreativeTime.  I added glossy accents and sequins to finish it off. Oh, and the greeting is also from the Santa's Elves set.

This is my first Christmas card this year! Eek!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zombie Gnome

Hiya! I can't get enough of zombifying! :) I turned this guy from the You Gnome Me set by MyFavoriteThings into a zombie. I colored him with my Copics. I used the Cartoon Cloud Background by MyCreativeTime for the sky. The greeting is also from the You Gnome Me set. I used the Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies and Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies from MyCreativeTime as well.  He might look a little more possessed than a zombie, but whatevs. ;)

Happy ALOHAlloween

Hello! Remember this sweet hula girl? Well, she has had a rough few days. Her parrot friend flew off, and she met with an unfortunate end. Here is what she looks like now...

Giggle, giggle, snicker! :) I made her a "walker"! I colored her with my Copics. She is was the hula girl from the Polynesian Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings. I left her pupils where they were, and just drew circles to make her new eyes. I made the greeting by combining the "aloha" from the Polynesian Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings with the Fright Night set from MyCreativeTime. Get it???  Happy ALOHAlloween? I crack me up.

Hiya! I hope you're having a great day. I'm just passing the hours until the NEW season of  The Walking Dead! Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyy. Anyhoozle, I broke out the Polynesian Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings. I stamped the parrot first and masked him off, and then stamped the hula girl so he could sit on her hand. I colored them with my Copics. The greeting is also from the Polynesian Paradise set. 

My DVR is going to get a workout tonight. Such a good tv night. :)

Warm wishes and sunny smiles

Hello! I hope you're having a beautiful day. :) I finally broke in the Penguins In Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings today. First I made them a beach by watercoloring with distress markers. I colored the penguins and the palm tree with my Copics. I added wink of stella and glossy accents to the penguin's swimmie. I also added glossy accents to the floating penguin's sunglasses. I used a few sequins for coconuts on the palm tree. The greeting is from the Polynesian Paradise set by MyFavoriteThings. 

I am trying to keep myself busy until the Cubs play tonight! Eek! The antici....pation!

Hey, chick!

Hello! I'm playing along with the MyFavoriteThings Sketch Challenge. There is the above sketch to follow. I'm also playing in Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  Here is my card.

I used the cute The Whole Herd set by MyFavoriteThings. I did lots of masking to make my line of chickens. I colored them with my copics to look like some of my Mom's chickens. :) The greeting is also from The Whole Herd set. Although it's hard to see, I did add very light grass and sky with my copics as well. :)

I hope you're having a great week! My CUBS won last night, and I'm still on a happy high! :)

OH, and tonight is serious good tv! Heroes, Scandal, HTGAWM, and The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are back too! Yaaaaay. Thank God for the DVR! Am I right?! :)

Hello! I really enjoyed this Watercolor For Card Makers class at OnlineCardClasses. It was short, but super informative. :) Today I gave no line coloring a go. I used the flowers from the Hey There Little Lady set by MyCreativeTime. I painted with distress inks and water. The greeting is from the Polynesian Paradise set from MyFavoriteThings.
