Altered Lawn Fawn Claw Machines :)

Hello! I have 2 cards to share that I made using the new You're Clawsome set by Lawn Fawn. I altered it my doing lots of masking to create a claw machine filled with sea critters instead of bears. I was making 2 shakers, but I messed up on one so that became just a regular one. {below} Anyhoo, I colored everything with my copics. I used an exacto to cut out and make the shaker. I super love how it turned out! Like SUPER LOVE. :)

And I'm kinda glad I messed up on making a 2nd shaker because I love how this turned out, too. :) I colored everything with my Copics. I made the floor with the chisel end of one copic. Easy peasy. I ink blended and used a stencil for the wallpaper. For this one I cut a slit in the prize slot and slid the starfish in it.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

p.s. The non shaker card is for sale in my Etsy shop. {clickable link to shop in side bar}

You're kinda pawsome

Hiya! I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday. Here is the card I made to say a ginormous THANK YOU to the folks at Rescue Junkie who saved my little girl Wrigley from death row, and cared for her until we found each other. We just love our new baby girl to pieces! So grateful! Anyhoo, I used the adorable Cat-itude set by My Favorite Things. I watercolored Wrigley, and her new big brother Simba. The talk bubbles are from the A Birdie Told me set by Lawn Fawn

Take a look at Wrigley helping me choose Copic colors for a different card. It's exhausting. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Star Wars! :)

Hello! Did you know that today is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day? Well, it is. :) I combined the other super awesome thing happening today with it...STAR WARS!!! I googled ugly star wars sweaters, and printed some images. Then I futzed until I got them at sizes that would work. I used the vest from the Ugly Sweater stamp set by SimonSaysStamp. I paper pieced with what I had printed. :) Then I used my Copics to do shading. I used the Seasonal Greetings set from MyCreativeTime for the "with love" and "christmas". I used the Claire's ABC's by Lawn Fawn for the "AT-AT". This greeting goes with what is on the sweater vest, and is awesome if you love Star Wars. LOL I also used the Stitched Postage Frame Dies and the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies by MyCreativeTime

May the force be with you this Christmas.

I wheelie like you!

Hello! I made a card to play along in the current Lawnscaping Challenge. Here's my card...

I used the adorable Wheelie Like You stamp set and the Wheelie Like You Lawn Cuts dies. I used the wheel die to partially die cut, so it is all one piece. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig tool to stamp the wheel on the die cut piece.  I embossed the bottom with a dots embossing folder. I colored my hamster and wheel with Copics. I fussy cut out the hamster, and put him in his wheel. The sweet greeting is also from the Wheelie Like You set by Lawn Fawn. I blended some Sea Glass ink by SimonSaysStamp behind the wheel...and finished it off with some sequins.

I hope you're having a great weekend. :)

Happy Birthday Dino

Hello! I made this card for the Lawn Fawn/Simon Says Stamp Flickr Co Challenge. The challenge is to use their products, and incorporate kraft. I stamped and paper pieced the dinosaur from Lawn Fawn's Critters From The Past set. And for the greeting I used the Hello You set from Simon Says Stamp. I turned the "O" into a balloon, and tied it to the dino's tail.  :)

I hope your week is off to a great start.

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. Forgot to mention that I stretched the dino's neck a little. One of the many reason why clear stamps totally rock! ;)

Hello sunshine!

Hello, sunshines! :) Today is day 4 of Clean And Simple 4 class at OnlineCardClasses. Today the fabulous Jennifer McGuire stitched on her cards, so I decided to bust out my embroidery floss. I started by die cutting a circle for my sun, and I used the embossed edge left by the die as a guide to poke my stitching holes. I stitched around the sun, and then created random rays as well. Then I {of course} turned my sun into a shaker. :) I stamped the card base with the Cartoon Cloud Background from MyCreativeTime. The "hello" word die is from the Speech Bubble Sentiments set by MyCreativeTime. I used the Claire's ABC's set from Lawn Fawn for "sunshine". For my panel I used the Rectangular Stitched Frames and More Dies from MyCreativeTime. I finished it off with more sequins. :)

I hope you're having a sunshiney day! :)

Hi Buddy! My own SVG with the Cricut Explore

Hello! I am SOOOOO happy with this card! I used my Cricut Explore and Design Space to make my own SVG from an image. I've always loved Mr. Narwhal from Elf, so I made my own version of him using a photo that I found on google. I used the Explore to cut out the shape I wanted, and then I drew in the lines to make my own "stamp". I used the Kawaii Face Assortment for his eye, and the Squee Face Assortment for his mouth. Both awesome sets from PeachyKeenStamps. I colored him with my Prismacolor colored pencils and blended out with OMS/gamsol. I went over his eye and eyebrow with a black sakura glaze pen.
I colored in his horn {which is really a tooth that only male narwhal's have} with a wink of stella clear glitter marker...and then added glossy accents to it. I inked the sky with tumbled glass distress ink, and added snow with my sakura white gel pen. Mr. Narwhal's line in Elf is, "Bye Buddy. Hope you find your Dad."....but I made this a hi card. I used the Claire's ABC's set from Lawn Fawn to make the greeting. I also added wink of stella to the snowy iceberg in front of Mr. Narwhal. :)

Oh deer...

Hello! For my card today I used the adorable Into The Woods set by Lawn Fawn. I think I bought this set for the sweet little deer. I love him. :) I colored him with my Prismacolor colored pencils and OMS {odorless mineral spirits/gamsol}. I stamped the background with Fresh Peach Hero Arts Shadow Ink using the clouds from the Into The Woods set. I added wink of stella to them for shine.
I stamped the greeting that is also in the Into The Woods Set. And lastly, I decorated the envelope...
I used the ink I stamped the clouds with to decorate the envelope. I love decorating the envelope to match the card! I think it makes it extra special for the recipient. :)

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Rawr!

Hiya! Yesterday the Holiday Card Workshop class at OnlineCardClasses was all about interactive cards. Shockingly, I decided to make a shaker. ;) I wanted to make a super non-traditional and fun Christmas card...I don't think you can get more non-traditional than dinosaurs! HA! I stamped and paper pieced the dinosaurs from the Critters From The Past set by Lawn Fawn. I used the Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies by MyCreativeTime to create my window. I backed the shaker with snowy patterned paper from the December Documented pad by Simple Stories. I also used that paper pad for the dinosaurs. I used the Alpha Pack set for my greeting, and also for the continuation of my greeting on the inside of the card...
I stamped Merry Christmas from the Gift Card Sentiments set in Green Hills Shadow ink for a little variation. And then I added the heart from the Into The Woods set by Lawn Fawn.

I hope you're having a DINOMITE day. :)

Hello

Hiya bloggy buddies! :) Today I played with the ridiculously adorable Into The Woods set by Lawn Fawn. I wanted that cute little fox to really stand out, so I kept the card mostly white. I paper pieced the little fox with patterned paper from the Friendly Forest collection from Doodlebug.
Eek! Little foxy is just too cute! :) I added some sequins, and called it finished. :)

I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!

OH, just btw, tomorrow is World Card Making Day! :)

Sending Sunshine

Hiya! Here's another card using masking for Clean and Simple 3 at OnlineCardClasses. I used the Stitched 3x4 Die from MyCreativeTime to make a mask. Then I stamped the Cloudy Day Background by PeachyKeenStamps with Soft Pool Hero Arts Shadow Ink. Then while the mask was still on I sponged on some Mint Julep shadow ink. I stamped the sun from the Tropical Vacation Kitty Cat set by PeachyKeenStamps. The face on the sun is from the Kawaii Face Assortment by PeachyKeenStamps
The greeting is from the February 2014 set by PeachyKeenStamps. The little birdies are from the Year Four set by Lawn Fawn. The patterned papers are from the Lets Polka pad by Lawn Fawn. I drew in the line the one bird is sitting on. This was originally a true one layer card, but I fudged up the card base...so I had to salvage it. ;) AND then for fun, I made a matching envelope. :)
I ♥ how the envelope turned out. :)

I hope you're having a FABULOUS day!

♥ Nikki ♥
