MCT Trending Now "Blooms and Plumes"

Hello! It's Trending Now day at MyCreativeTime. Today's trend is "Blooms and Plumes". I used the Believe In Your Dreams set for the feathers. I masked and stamped them into a line. I colored them with my Copics. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies for the panel. The greeting is from the You Matter set. I used a white gel pen to outline the greeting to make it pop. Forever grateful for Kelly Latevola for that awesome white gel pen tip!

MCT-Stamp of the Month

Hello! It's time for another "Stamp of the Month" at MyCreativeTime. This month it's the Believe in Your Dreams set. I made this card for my Nana as a thank you for helping me hang some art in my living room when she was here. So I made the feathers look like the artwork.

Anyhoo, I gold heat embossed the feathers and painted them with distress inks. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames and More dies and my new favorite Stitched Postage Frame Dies.

Just Because

Hiya! Here's my card inspired by day 2 of Watercolor For Card Makers at OnlineCardClasses. I made a background with seedless preserves and picked raspberry distress inks and water. Lots of water. :) I used the same inks to sponge over a stencil on the card base. I used the Believe In Your Dreams set by MyCreativeTime for the feather and the greeting. I finished it off with some sequins.

MCT- Teach Me Thursday

Hello! Today is Teach Me Thursday at MyCreativeTime. Today I'll share how I created these stamped feathers using the Believe In Your Dreams set, fun foam, and a stencil.

I love the new Believe In Your Dreams stamp and die set. It's so pretty! I wanted to use it in a different way, so I grabbed some fun foam to create my own solid feather stamps. I used the dies to cut the fun foam feathers, and then I taped them to clear blocks with regular tape runner. Then I inked it with Mint Julep Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I laid a stencil on top of the inked fun foam stamp, and smooshed the Soft Pool ink pad on it. I rolled the edges of the now inked and stenciled fun foam stamp in the Soft Pool ink as well. Then I stamped that on my cardstock, and VOILA! To finish my design, I splattered black ink on the panel, and stamped the greeting from the Believe In Your Dreams set. I cut the panel out with the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies.

p.s. I have a tip to share for cleaning the tape off of your clear block. I used an alcohol swab to get all the sticky stuff off...PLUS the alcohol swab cleans your clear blocks like new! I get mine at Walgreens. A box of 200 alcohol swabs for like 3 bucks! Score! {by the bandages}

MCT 42nd Edition Release Blog Hop!

Hello! You should have arrived from Lucia's Blog, if not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my card today I used the beautiful new Believe In Your Dreams set. I used the coordinating dies from the Believe In Your Dreams set to cut the feathers from the panel I made with the Stiched Rectangular Frames And More Dies. I then stamped the feathers with Stazon ink on vellum. I used R81, 83, and 85 Copic markers to color them from the back to mimic the ombre of my card base. I adhered them behind the panel, and adhered patterned paper behind the vellum. The patterned papers I used are from the Capture Life 6x6 pad by Echo Park. The greeting is also from the new Believe In Your Dreams set.
