MCT sneaks day 2

Hello! It's day 2 of sneaks for MyCreativeTime. Today we are sneaking a new set called My Thoughts Are With You. I white heat embossed the jar and flowers, and water colored them with distress markers. I used pumice stone distress ink and water to do the background. I used wink of stella on the jar, and then covered it with glossy accents. I promise this looks better in real life. LOL. The greeting is from the new My Thoughts Are With You set. I used wet cement Hero Arts shadow ink to stamp it twice to make it darker. Oh, I also used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more sneaks.

MCT 42nd Edition Release Blog Hop!

Hello! You should have arrived from Lucia's Blog, if not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my card today I used the beautiful new Believe In Your Dreams set. I used the coordinating dies from the Believe In Your Dreams set to cut the feathers from the panel I made with the Stiched Rectangular Frames And More Dies. I then stamped the feathers with Stazon ink on vellum. I used R81, 83, and 85 Copic markers to color them from the back to mimic the ombre of my card base. I adhered them behind the panel, and adhered patterned paper behind the vellum. The patterned papers I used are from the Capture Life 6x6 pad by Echo Park. The greeting is also from the new Believe In Your Dreams set.

Your next stop on the hop is RUTHIE

German Shepherd Sympathy Card

Hello. I wanted to share this card I made for a friend who recently lost her beloved German Shepherd, Sasha. I used THIS cut file from the Silhouette Store. As usual, I glued all my sequins down with glossy accents.
The sequins are iridescent, so they change in the light.

I hope you're having a nice evening. Remember to hug your furbaby. :)

MCT Sneaks Day 1

Hello! It's day 1 of sneaks for MyCreativeTime. Today we are sneaking 2 new sets...Whimsical Trees and Seasonal Greetings. I've used both sets on this sympathy card. I stamped and gold embossed the trees from Whimsical Trees on patterned paper from the Indian Summer collection by Basic Grey {OLD lol}. I also gold heat embossed the greeting from Seasonal Greetings. Finished it off with some gold sequins.

MCT Made In Minutes

Hello. It's Made In Minutes Monday at MyCreativeTime. I made this card for Emma's sister who lost her sweet dog Raider last week. :( Breaks my heart to hear of someone losing a furry baby.
I made the card base and layer with the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies. I die cut the window for the sequins with the Live Love Bark set.
I stamped the name on the banner from the Stitched Vintage Label Dies using the Alpha Pack

p.s. The most time consuming part about this card was gluing down the sequins. You could make it much faster by substituting some pretty patterned paper instead. :)

With Sympathy

Hello! I hope you're having a nice Sunday. For my card today I kept the current Hero Arts challenge in mind which is to make a one layer card. I used a circle die to create a mask for my stamping. I inked up the Hero Arts Three Ferns stamp with Crushed Olive, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Markers. I then misted the stamp with water in a mini mister. I love how all the inks blend.
While I still had the mask on, I inked around the circle with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. To finish, I stamped the greeting from the Everyday Sayings set with Navy Hero Arts Shadow Ink.

Sympathy cards for a Shipmate

Hello. Unfortunately,
a shipmate of my husband's passed away in a motorcycle wreck. I made 2 cards tonight for him to take to work tomorrow. Sorry for the horrible pictures, I usually take my pictures in daylight. Anyhoo, I used the My Little Firecracker set from MyCreativeTime to make the background on this card. I stamped it with navy Hero Arts Shadow Ink.
I white heat embossed the greeting from the Everyday Sayings from Hero Arts. Finished it off with a punched Martha Stewart anchor. And here's the other card I made...a little more elaborate.  Again, sorry the pictures are horrible...
The colors on this card are white, navy, and aqua...totally awful pictures!
I cut a circle out for my window and embossed the panel with the Stars Cuttlebug folder. I stamped the waves and anchor inside from a Market Street Stamps set that is no longer available, sorry. I filled the window with sequins from Neat And Tangled.
The greeting is from the Happy Homecoming set by MyCreativeTime. By the way, "fair winds and following seas" is a Navy term and is suitable for a sympathy card...in case you were wondering.

Remember to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Life really is short.
