I used the Kassies Brocade cuttlebug folder on the brown paper behind my bear. The sentiment is from the Many Greetings set from MyCreativeTime and is heat embossed on the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die.

Pet Sympathy Card

My husband's Grandma lost her kitty Tiger a few days ago. He died suddenly in the night and she is so sad. He was 17 and perfectly healthy...and most importantly, he was her best buddy!  I DREAD the day when one of my sweet fur babies pass on. Unfortunately, this is her 2nd kitty to pass in 6 months. SAD!

For this card I heat embossed the wings from the Happy Mail set from MyCreativeTime...and I also heat embossed the paw {which is a hidden gem} from Mr.CricutCrazy's set called Man's Best Friend Vol.1. I inked it up with distress inks from light to dark in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire. I let it dry and then sprayed it with perfect pearls and water.

I used Emma's new Fancy Frame Die and Stamp set. I cut it out in white cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder and then inked with the same ink colors. I wanted it to be almost as dark as the bottom, but not quite. The sentiment is from the Sympathy set from PinkByDesign. I find myself using this set all too often! ;( but it is nice to have on hand for these hard to make cards.

Hello! Have a techie in your life? I know we probably ALL do! ;) I used the super cute LOL set from PinkByDesign for my phone. The smiley emoticon on the popped up and colored phone is from the Gigabyte set also from PinkByDesign.

I used glossy accents on the screen of the phone. The sentiment is also from the Gigabyte set from PinkByDesign. SO MANY awesome techie sentiments in that set!

Mr.Cricut Crazy Guest Designer :)

Hello! Today I am a guest designer for Tanner {Mr Cricut Crazy}. I stamped this adorable yorkie from his set called Haley. I colored it in with my prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I made her a girl by giving her a bow. ;)

The sweet sentiment is from his set called Man's Best Friend Vol. 1. Oh, and I also added some glossy accents to her eyes and to the hearts on the sentiment strip. I hope you liked my card Tanner! ;)

Monday Madness...Imagine That!

Hello! Emma {MyCreativeTime} dedicates Monday's to using her Cricut Imagine and has asked us design team members to join her in making projects. BUT since I don't own an imagine...I'll be playing along making sure to incorporate patterned paper. ;) This card actually came to me in a dream...however, in my dream, it looked MUCH more like a shirt with a pocket. LOL....I used the FABULOUS new Gift Card Die from Emma to make my "pocket". I think it would be extra cute if I find a pink gift card to put inside of it. ;)

One Background Stamp...3 cards

Hello! The other day I got out my Catch A Wave background stamp from PinkByDesign and got a little swept away. ;) I stamped it 3 times and heat embossed with white embossing powder. For the first 2 cards I layered on ink from light to dark using distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire.

The sentiment is from the Summer Vacation set from PinkByDesign.

For this card I heat embossed the whale from the Ocean Fun set from MarketStreetStamps.com. I colored him super quickly by using the same ink colors as the waves and my ink blending tool.

The sentiment is from the Crikey set from PinkByDesign. Side note...I just said "crikey" with an awesome fake Australian accent. ;)

Ok ok, I know what you're thinking...rainbow waves??? I wanted to use this "you color my world" sentiment from the Simply Everything set so...I made rainbow waves! ;)

I used distress inks in Barn Door, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters, Broken China, and Milled Lavender. I hope you likey my wavey cards! ;)

My Creative Time's August Stamp release BLOG HOP!

Happy Birthday card

Hello and happy Saturday! Since I already had the Small Banners stamp set from PinkByDesign out...I whipped up a simple birthday card. I white heat embossed the dots and striped banners and cut them out.

I strung the banners on some black embroidery floss and attached them to the card. Easy Peasy! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Hiya and happy Friday! I am super happy because I got my laptop back from the doctor today! ;) Anyhoo... I used the awesome Cloudy Day background stamp from PinkByDesign. I inked it up with tumbled glass distress ink and then misted it with water before stamping to get a watercolor look without bleeding.

I used the Small Banners set to make my "hello" banner. I just stamped onto patterned paper and cut it out...super quick and easy! To finish off  my card I did some hand stitching. Okie Dokie...I hope you have a great weekend!

Throwback Thursday!

Hiya and welcome to another Throwback Thursday Challenge. For this challenge we are using any retired cricut cartridge. You can go HERE for a list of retired cartridges. For my card today I used the Camp Out cartridge. I cut the base of the tree out of kraft cardstock and stamped the trunk with the Distressed Wood stamp from PinkByDesign. I cut the top of the tree out of watercolor paper and went crazy with about a billion distress inks. ;) I finished it by misting with copper perfect pearls.

The perfectly adorable sentiment is from Emma's set called All Around Halloween. OH and I also made my background paper out of watercolor paper and distress inks...and if you look VERY closely, you can see that along the bottom I used Emma's Stitched Only Circle Die which embosses. So it adds texture without cutting. ;) Ok...pop over to Emma's Blog to see what she and the other ladies made...AND to play along with us!!!!

PeachyKeen Challenge 58

Hello and welcome to another PeachyKeen Challenge! This time we have the above sketch to follow. For my card, I used one of my all time favorite sets called Faceless Fruit. This is, in my opinion, a total must have set! SO CUTE! ;) Anyhoo, this time I kept them "faceless" but they are oh so sweet with adorable little peachie faces on them!

I stamped the sweet cherries all over my card with staz on ink. Then I colored them with my prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I stamped a few extra and cut them out so I could pop them up...

I added glossy accents to the cherries that I popped up. It looks really cool in person. ;) The sentiment is from the Country Living set from PinkByDesign. Birthday card

Hello! Here is the card I made for my Mom in law's birthday. First I stamped the Script background stamp from PinkByDesign. I then stamped over that with the Swirl Curls background stamp also from PinkByDesign. I inked it up with Victorian Velvet distress ink...

I used the It's a Date stamp set from PinkByDesign to totally personalize it with her exact birthday. I used my sakura glitter pen to add sparkle. To finish, I added a bit of glossy accents on the date. ;)
