MCT Inspire Me Wednesday

Hello! It's Inspire Me Wednesday at MyCreativeTime. Today's card was inspired by me really wanting to color this hot air balloon. LOL. I used the Sky Is The Limit set for the hot air balloon and banners. The greeting is from the Thanks For The Lift set. I used the fabulous new More Stitched Edges Dies for the clouds. Oh, forgot to say that I colored with my Copics. :)

Another Tribute Card to Viv...You can make one too!

Hello. I've made another card in tribute to my friend Viv who passed away on Saturday. You can see my other card, and read my post HERE. Kathy, the owner/illustrator of PeachyKeenStamps, has made the Vivienne And Friends Digi set available for free download in The Peachy Place. The Peachy Place is the group on facebook. I thought it would be wonderful to see this set inked up by all the PKS fans out there in tribute to our wonderful Viv. Sooooooo, click HERE to join the group and download this sweet set. My concept for this card was to have little Viv riding on one of the turtles...like how Mary and Burt get rides from turtles across the pond in Mary Poppins! So, while making this card I was listening to Jolly Holiday over and over because that's the scene it's from...and wouldn't ya know it VIV IS MENTIONED IN THAT SONG! Seriously. And the end of the song it says, "Vivienne's sweet." That's pretty darn awesome if you ask me! :) Give it a listen. I promise it will brighten your day, just like Viv always did. :)

A tribute card

Hello. Yesterday the sweet Vivienne Holden passed away after a long battle with cancer. I was lucky enough to come to know here through PeachyKeenStamps. We were on the PKS design team together, and what a pleasure that was. Her talent was only outshone by her kindness. She taught me all sorts of "British Words". She was hilarious. HILARIOUS. She once told me I was, "daft as a box of frogs"...I'm still not entirely sure what the hell that means, but I know it's funny! She will most definitely be missed by me, and all of the PKS family past and present. 

Last night I got out my Vivienne And Friends set that was designed for and named after Viv. She would surely say that this was one of her all time favorites, and now I'll surely treasure it forever. I used my Copics to color this little scene. The greeting is from the Friendships Are Forever set by MyCreativeTime. 

I'll end this post with lyrics and a song that says it all for me. Goodbye, Viv. ♥

MCT Do Over Thursday

Hello! It's Do Over Thursday at MyCreativeTime. Today I used my card above from last year and a jumping off point for a new card. I wanted to watercolor, but make it much softer...here it is...

I used distress inks to watercolor. I white heat embossed the Wishing You greeting. I also used the Stitched Oval Dies, Stitched Rectangular Frames And More, Stitched Postage Frame Dies.

MCT Favorite Stamp Of The Month

Hello! It's Favorite Stamp Of The Month day at MyCreativeTime. Today we are using the Prehistoric Holidays set. I used the set to create a scene with masking. I colored it all with my Copics. :) The greeting is also from the Prehistoric Holidays set.

MCT Made In Minutes

Hello! I have 2 card designs to share today for Made In Minutes at MyCreativeTime. I used the fabulous Pretty Bold Letter Dies for my cards. I cut the word Risen from masking paper, and used both the positive and negative portions. For this first card, I used the positive to mask the word to stay white while I inked over top of it. I used Simon Says Stamp inks. 

And for this card, I used the negative space to ink the scene within the word. I used the same inks. On both cards I used the Alpha Pack set to stamp "He is". I also used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies for the panels.
