MCT Tutorial Thursday- Just a note


Hello! It's tutorial Thursday at MyCreativeTime. Today I have a little photo tutorial showing the making of my jar background using the My Thoughts Are With You set. 

1. Use the jar die to make a stamp out of fun foam. 
2. Stamp the jar in a random pattern to make the background. 
3. Use the jar stamp to add the image over the solid jars. Wonkily. ;)
4. Add greeting from It's All About You on circle over vellum circle. 


I used the Bunch Of Fun Circles dies for the circles. I finished it off by adding wink of stella to the jars, and a few sequins.

p.s. Forgot to say that I just use tape runner to stick my fun foam stamp to the acrylic block. When I'm done with it, I just toss it. Then I use an alcohol swab to get the sticky off the block. :) Works great, and cleans the ink off your block!

Too hot! Hot Damn! Make a dragon wanna retire man!



So I was walking on my treadmill watching Uptown Funk on YouTube, and this card popped into my head. I finished up my miles, and then I made it happen. :) If you haven't heard Uptown Funk {live under a rock perhaps? ☺} you MUST watch/listen to it! It's the most positive and super fun song! And, if you're looking to get some exercise motivation, you need this on your playlist! :) Anyhoo, here is my super duper FUNKY dragon....

Is he funky, or is he FUNKY??? HAHA! I used the adorable Faceless Dragons Digis and Dragon Family Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps. His shades are from the Beach Babies Digi set by PeachyKeenStamps. I added the lyrics from Uptown Funk, and bam! My vision was realized. :) I colored him with my Copics. I added wink of stella to his wings, horns. and toes. I used the sakura glitter pen on his shades. I added glossy accents to the horns, shades, and toes. 

I hope you have a super FUNKY FRIDAY! And I hope this card put a big ole' smile on your face!

MCT Blog Hop

Hello! You should have arrived from Shar's blog, if not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my card I started by making my background with the new Geo Borders set. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the borders lined up perfectly to make the background. I stamped it with Mint Julep Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I inked up the Stitched Camera with that ink as well. Then I stamped over it with the fabulous new Grainy Wood Background stamp. I used Navy, Mint Julep, and Pale Tomato Hero Arts Shadow Inks on this card. 
I added the tiny heart from the Stitched Sweetheart and XOXO dies to the center of the camera. I used the Bunch Of Fun Circles to cut the circle from my background. I used a wobble to mount the camera on the card so it wiggles. :) For my greeting, I stamped the OH SNAP bubble from the new set called Fun Speech Bubbles onto the die cut from the same set. I used my wink of stella glitter pen to add glitter to it and some other elements on the card. For the little red heart bubble I used the new Stitched Message Bubble Dies. 
Here you can see the sparkle and shine from the glitter and glossy accents. I just love how this card turned out! This release like totally super rocks! ;)
