Count Blessings, NOT Calories Card

Happy Sunday everyone! Here is my second Gypsy creation, and my first attempt at welding letters together. The font is Simply Sweet cut at various sizes. The cupcake and all its trimmin's were cut at 3.25 inches from the Sweet Treats cartridge. The paper is K and Company, Papertreyink, and Coredinations. Just a simple card, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway. Well I hope you have had a fabulous weekend!

TOODLES! ;o)

My FIRST Gypsy creation! ;o)

Hi everyone! I am so super excited with how my very first Gypsy creation turned out! I made the shamrock shaped card at 5 inches from Paper Doll Dress Up, not too shabby for my first attempt at welding! ;o) I layered a 4 3/4 inch shamrock over it and added faux stitching. The "kiss me" is from Sweethearts cut at 1 1/4 inches. The wee leprechaun and all his fixin's were cut at 3 inches. His super cute winky face was made with the Everyday Character Face Parts set from peachykeenstamps.com. Well I hope you like my wee leprechaun card. (I just like saying that!) LOL

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!!!

Clown B-day Double Slider Card

Hi all! I made another card using the Everyday Character Face Parts stamps from peachykeenstamps.com. I just LOVE these sets! They are super versatile! I used them to make this cute clown face, and the other day I used them to make a puppy dog! But they can also be used to just make "regular" faces on your projects as well. ;o) For this card I stamped the clowns nose in red ink and then put Glossy Accents over it to give it a domed/plastic nose look. It looks a whole lot better in person without the glare from the camera. My clown and all his accessories were cut at 4 inches from the Paper Doll Dress Up cricut cartridge. The 5 candle was cut from Sweet Treats at 3 inches.
I was asked by my friend to make a card for her lil' guys birthday, so I wanted to make it interactive. KIDS love cards that "do" something. So, I made this double slider card that I am not going to attempt explaining! LOL. You can watch a video by Joy (she is FAB) whose demonstration skills are far superior than any explanation I could give! Click HERE for the video. Thanks Joy!
Well I hope you like my card! I'm off to play with my...drumroll...............NEW GYPSY!!!!!!!!!
Have a GREAT day!

p.s. both ends of the card pop out when the ribbon on top is pulled. :o)

Think Pink Puppy Card

I know I've said before that I don't like to toot my own horn, but HONK HONK! LOL!!! I think this may be the cutest thing I have ever made! I cut out the puppy at 3 3/4 inches on blackout and the regular cut from Everyday Paper Dolls. I cut two so I could stamp the face on the blackout head, and use the regular cut to give this sweet girl dimension. I cut the front legs and ears off (eek!) and then attached them to the blackout cut with rolled up glue dots and pop dots. You can see what I mean in the second picture above. Her ADORABLE face is stamped with the new 5-7" Everyday Character Face Parts stamps from peachykeenstamps.com. For my sentiment I used "think pink" from The Pink Stampers new stamp set called Simply Sweet Occasions. Finally I added some rhinestones for her collar and for the dots of the i's. I hope you are having a great day!

Best Fishes and Miss You cards

Ok, I admit it, I am addicted to kraft cardstock. There. I feel better. ;o) The "Best Fishes" card was made by cutting the cute lil' fish out with my Animal Kingdom cricut cartridge at 2 inches and then stamping the ADORABLE face. The face comes in the Animal Faces Medium set from PeachyKeenStamps.com that has a face for EVERY animal on that cartridge. Cute, huh?!
The "Miss You" card was made using one of the new Faceless Flowers sets from PeachyKeenStamps.com. I stamped the flowers on the base of the card, and then stamped them again and cut them out. I attached them to the card with pop dots. The "miss you" sentiment stamp is from the Simply Sweet Occasions set by My Pink Stamper.
Hope you have had a wonderful weekend.

2 Little Cards

Hi friends! I am in LOVE with the kraft cardstock from papertreyink.com, so it would KILL me to waste any of it. So, with the leftover strips from cutting a few cards out of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets I made these two little cards. They measure 8 1/2 by 2 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Turns out to be a really cute size. These are simple so I'll just tell you which products I used in case I can be of any enabling assistance. LOL. The owl and tree are from a Colorbox stamp set called "friendly forest". The swirls are from an Autumn Leaves set called "girl power borders". The sentiment on the owl card is from cleardollarstamps. And the {HUGS} sentiment on the tree card is from the Simply Sweet Occasions set by my pink stamper. Oh, and the large wood grain background stamp is by All Night Media. Hope you are having a great week so far!

Who else is looking forward to American Idol and Lost (which I call confusion hour)???!!!!!

p.s. the flowers are primas. ;o)

Onto this card...I am OBSESSED with this Monstrosity paper from Sassafrass! I just can't seem to help myself. This is another SUPER SIMPLE card. The card base is 4.25x4.25 kraft cardstock from papertreyink.com. I ran it through my cuttlebug in the small polka dots quickutz folder. Then I used my new Martha Stewart punch around the page set for my frame. I cut out this cute monster and added some twine and bling and voila, card done.

My Pink Stamper challenge-Eye Love You card

Hello, AGAIN! LOL...Right after I posted the card on the post below, Robyn a.k.a My Pink Stamper posted a challenge on her blog...So I HAD to play along! Anyhoo, the challenge is to scrap something you love or make a card and send it to someone you love. I chose the card option because I AM NOT a fast scrapbooker, and my "stories" are about to come on. HAHA So anyhoo, here's my card and I'll be sending it to my sailor whom I LOVE! Again, paper from the Monstrosity pad by Sassafrass. Have a great night all!!!!

HUGS, Nikki

Hello! Here is just a really quick card I made this afternoon. Nothing like a little scrap therapy to pass the time on a lonely Valentine's day. :o) I am happy to report that I got a phone call from my sailor at sea today!

This super duper cute paper is from the Monstrosity paper pad by Sassafrass. All I did was cut out that lil' guy from one of the sheets of paper and pop dot him up. Other than that I just cut strips of paper and created my own pattern...added a ribbon and a button and called it done. Oh and OF COURSE I used my trusty dymo for the sentiment.

Hope you have all had a fabulous day...who else is looking forward to watching Big Love tonight??? I LOVE that show!

Another Valentines day without my Love

It's another Valentines day without my husband. He is at sea serving our country, and I am proud that he is. This day doesn't mean much to me, as I am much more thankful for him to be home on Christmas or Thanksgiving. What this day makes me think about is the crazy amount of love I feel for him after all these years. The military life is not something that I would wish on anyone. It is a life that is unpredictable at best. Although after all these years together I can not for one second imagine my life without my husband. So in the spirit of Valentines day I just want to salute my husband and all the other military wives that spend their lives waiting for their men to come home.
Here's to the next 11 years sweetheart! I love you!

Dinomite card and envelope

Hi! My friend asked me to make her a card to send to a little boy who is dealing with some yucky health issues, and this is what I came up with. The card is cut from the Wild Card cricut cartridge on blackout at 5 1/2 inches. I stamped the dinosaurs on the spinner and colored them with my prismacolors and blended with OMS. I also did the same thing to the envelope. The "hello jack" banner was printed from my computer. Then I just snipped the tails and added pop dots to the middle to add dimension. I hope you're having a great day, hey, it's ALMOST FRIDAY. :o)

Nikki

p.s. Sorry the picture is so dark, it's super dreary again here in the "sunshine" state. ;o)
p.p.s. Forgot to mention that the papers are from the Archaic Collection from Basic Grey.

Hello everyone. Here are a few non-traditional Valentines I made yesterday. I just LOVE this stamp set from Recollections called "Robots". The "heart you" thought bubble stamp was just a dollar at Michaels in the Valentine section! Cute, huh?! On the bottom card I used My Pink Stamper stamps from her new sets. The "hello" stamp is from the Everyday Occasions set. The trio of hearts next to hello are from the Simply Sweet Occasions set. All papers are from the K and Company Valentines stack that I am totally in love with. Have a great day!!!
-Nikki
P.S. I used Zip Dry glue to attach the googlie eyes. It is PERFECT for this task, and all others for that matter! Love me some Zip Dry. LOL

PeachyKeen Challenge 22

Hello! It's time again for another PK challenge! This time we just have a super simple sketch to follow. For my card I stamped this sweet lil' elephant which can be purchased HERE . I colored her in with my prismacolors, and I am THRILLED with how she turned out! I am also loving all my new goodies from papertreyink.com. Their kraft cardstock is just to die for! I also used their satin ribbon in hibiscus burst on this card and tied it with their cream button twine. LOVE the button twine! The pink patterned paper is from the K and Company Valentines stack which I know is still available at Michaels but you better hurry if you want it. Oh, and finally, I poked two holes (EEK) on each side of her trunk and threaded embroidery floss through and tied on that sweet xoxo charm.

The prize this challenge will be one of the new faceless veggie and fruit stamp sets that were just released this week! So take a look HERE and start thinking about which one you will choose if you are indeed the winner! ;o)
Now, hop on over to the challenge blog and check out what the other FANTASTIC designers have created...and I do hope you will join in on all the fun with us!!!!

HELLO!!!! Happy Super Bowl day to you. This is another card I made for my friend Steph (hope you like it!). This one is going to her Mother-in-Law who is moving to another state. I had FUN making this one, I went purple crazy and LOVED every minute of it! I went to Michaels the other day and picked up these gorgeous prima flowers and I FINALLY got a wood grain background stamp. I stamped the wood grain with Tim Holtz' clear embossing ink and then clear embossed it. The CUTE stamp is, of course, from PeachyKeenStamps. This little cutie can be purchased HERE . All the papers I used on this card are from my first order through papertreyink.com and boy does their cardstock ROCK!!! Their white gives such a crisp stamped image, so I totally recommend it! The cardstock colors used here are Plum pudding and Kraft. Thanks so much for taking a peek!

So "Hoppy" for you card

Hello my bloggy friends! My friend Steph (hi Steph!) asked me to make her a couple cards and this is one of them. (I hope you like it Steph). This style is called a Waterfall card and I am not going to attempt to explain the directions for making one, as someone else has already done that! Click HERE if you would like further instruction.
I stamped the ADORABLE froggies (of course PKS) on white cardstock and colored them in with prismacolor pencils blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits. As you pull the ribbon the froggies "hop" over each other. CUTE HUH?! And finally after the last froggie hops, the sentiment is revealed. All papers used for this card are from the Urban Prairie Collection by Basic Grey. Thanks for looking, and have a GREAT day!
