MCT December Sneak Peek #1

Hello! It's sneak peek time for MyCreativeTime! Today I have 2 cards made with the fabulous new Love Collage Background stamp. For this first one I stamped it with Hero Arts shadow ink in soft pool on to aqua mist cardstock from PaperTreyInk for a tone on tone look.
I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the new set called Lots Of Love. And finally I die cut the heart with the new Stitched Heart Layering Dies.  For this next card I did some simple masking....
I used the negative space left from die cutting the XL Label die to make a one layer card. I stamped the new Love Collage Background stamp with toffee crunch memento ink. I then used the same ink to sponge on some color with a dauber. I then removed the mask.
I white heat embossed the cherubs from the new Lots Of Love Set. I added some white stitching with my favorite Sakura White Gel Pen. Super simple card. :)

Happy Holidays Tri-Fold Card

Hello! I saw THIS fantastic trifold card made by the super talented Julie Ebersole, and I just knew I had to make a similar one with MyCreativeTime Dies. She has a great video on that post HERE showing how to make the Trifold card. Anyhoo, I used the XL Label die to cut the window on my front panel. Then I stamped the Music Collage background from Hero Arts with toffee crunch memento ink. Perfect tone on tone for kraft cardstock. I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the Card  Sentiments/ 3x3 Card Die set. I  stamped over that with snowflakes from the Snow Flakey set from PeachyKeenStamps in toffee crunch ink again.
I used the Stitched XL Label Die to cut the window on the inside panel. And again, I stamped the snowflakes from the Snow Flakey set from PeachyKeenStamps.
I stamped and paper pieced the snowman from the All Around Accessories set with papers from the Aspen Frost collection by Basic Grey. The sentiment is from the From Our Family To Yours set.
See the snow mounds? I used the cloud dies from the Fly Away With Me Dies set. :) I added a bunch of rock candy stickles for some sparkle.

I hope you're having a FABULOUS day!

Lots of fun shine. I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the December 2012 set. Like I said, super simple! And now on with the hop...

Celebrating the Greatest Gift of All

Hello! I have to say that I had a blast making this card! Lots of inky fun. :) I stamped and white heat embossed the Nativity scene from the Greatest Gift set by Hero Arts. I masked off the sky and inked the ground with my inking tool using shabby shutters and crushed olive distress inks. Then I masked off the ground and inked the sky using my blending tool. I went from light to dark using tumbled glass, broken china, salty ocean, and chipped sapphire distress inks. And while that was drying, I made the background. I stamped and white heat embossed the Lattice Background by Hero Arts.
I colored it with my distress markers in tumbled glass, broken china, chipped sapphire, shabby shutters, and crushed olive. And because salty ocean isn't in distress marker form, I painted it on with a brush. Then I spritzed it with a mixture of perfect pearls and water in a mini mister for shine. The sentiment is also from the Greatest Gift set by Hero Arts. EEK! I just love how this one turned out! :)
