Have a Spooktacular day

Hello! It's time for another designer challenge over at MyCreativeTime. This time we have the above sketch to follow. For some reason, I was feeling Halloweenie. :) And here is my take on the sketch...
I stamped the background with the Cloudy Day background from PeachyKeenStamps with charcoal hero arts shadow ink. The tree and bat are from the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge. The face on the bat is from the September 2012 set.
I white heat embossed the greeting from the Treats For My Sweet set from MyCreativeTime

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to play along!

Guest Designing :)

Hello...or should I say, HOLA! Abby from Scrapbookaholic By Abby has a line of Spanish stamps and has asked me to guest design. I do not speak fluent Spanish, but I took 2 years in high school and got straight A's. ;) For this card I used Set 3 Suspirando Con Tinta. I cut the sweet little love bug from the Simply Charmed cartridge and gave him a face from the Faceless Corn set from PeachyKeenStamps. The faces from that set are now available in an assortment set called The Cornies
I used the small and larger hearts from Set 3 Suspirando Con Tinta to make my background. I stamped them with berrylicious colorbox fluid chalk ink and then swirled on some spun sugar distress ink. I stamped the sentiment {I love you with all my heart} onto the Curly Label Die from MyCreativeTime

Be sure to head over and check out Abby's cute Spanish Stamps! :)

p.s. in Spanish class, my name was Mercedes. hehe. fancy!

Feliz Navidad

Hola! When I got the new Say It In Spanish stamp set from PinkByDesign and saw the "Feliz Navidad" sentiment I immediately thought...SANTA WITH A SOMBRERO!!!! ☺ The Santa I used is from the Simply Charmed cartridge. His face is from the Christmas Character Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps.com. I masked off the glasses on the face because I wanted to give him a stache from the Billionaire cartridge. ☺
His sombrero is from the Designers Calendar cartridge. Oh, and I used a wobble to attach his head...so he looks like maybe he has been drinking something a little stronger than milk with his cookies! HAHAHA...or should I say HO HO HO???!!!! I crack me up! Adios mi amigas y amigos ☺

Winner from Sept.11 hop...and a Card

And the winner of the $25 gift certificate to the PinkByDesign store is.....

                                            VALERIE!!!!!!!!!!!

Valerie said:Nikki, I love all your cards and especially that popsicle card. I do remember where I was when I first heard about the attack on America. It is definately a day that changed America forever and the way we go about our lives now.

Thank you for sharing your talent today and God Bless our Military. From one military wife to another.

Congrats Valerie...Have FUN picking out your stamps!!! It will be a hard choice because they are ALL AWESOME!!!! ☺ I will shoot you an email now!

and now....onto today's card!

I used my bff Cher {aka Gypsy} to create this tombstone shaped card. The tombstone is from the Simply Charmed cartridge and the cute ghostie is from the Mini Monsters cartridge. I, of course, HAD to make the ghostie a girl and give her a bow in her "hair". ☺ Sorry, can't help myself! The super cute face on the ghostie is from the Pumpkin Faces set from PeachyKeenStamps. The adorable sentiment is from the A Haunting We Will Go stamp set from PinkByDesign. I used the textile cuttlebug folder on the tomb.

Well, that's my card for today! Now onto some other fun happenings! I can't wait to see the cricut imagine launch on HSN tonight at midnight Eastern!!! I am NOT going to buy it, but I will still have a blast seeing it in action. I just really can't justify 500 bucks on a machine I don't NEED...especially since I have been BAD BAD BAD with buying cartridges!!! Poor hubby might ship me off to some cricut hoarders live-in rehab facility! LOL

Speaking of cartridges...off to play with my new 3 Birds on Parade!!! ☺

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. hope to chat with some of you during Robyn and Tammy's Ustreams tonight! Super fun!!! ☺

9-11 Blog Hop and GIVEAWAYS ☺

On this day, nine years ago, the world changed. The shameful actions of a few forever altered the lives of so many. I wasn't alive to remember where I was when JFK was assassinated, but I sure remember where I was on September 11, 2001. My husband and I were stationed in Guam, and I remember being terrified that we were such an easy target in the middle of the ocean. I mean, if they were brazen enough to attack downtown NYC, why not our little island of Guam?! But, thankfully, that did not happen. We were lucky. So many others were not. To those who lost loved ones that day, bless you and your families. Now, in a somewhat awkward segway, on with the hop we go!
For my first card, I made a "bomb pop". I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge and the Princess Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps for the sweet little face. The ADORABLE sentiment is from the Simply Everything stamp set by Pink By Design. That set ROCKS!!!!

For my next card, I used the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge. I actually got the idea for this card when my husband came home from the ship and plopped his boots in the middle of the floor! LOL Ahh, men! ☺ I adore this sentiment from the Rock On stamp set by Pink By Design.

For my last card, I used the Boys Will Be Boys cricut cartridge. I know this doesn't look "traditionally manly", but I LIKE IT! ☺ Well, I hope you enjoyed my cards today! Now, onto some fun GIVEAWAYS!!!!

The sponsor for this hop is Craft-E-Corner and they are donating a Cricut A-Z dvd to one lucky hopper AND a 10% off coupon code to ALL hoppers! For all the details on this, hop over to Sarah's {Pink Cricut} Blog.

I will be choosing one lucky hopper to receive a $25 gift certificate to the PinkByDesign store!!! Cool, huh?! You can pick out which set/sets you would like!!! I have to say I LOVE them all!!!!

Now, keep on hoppin' to see what the other talented bloggers have for you!

Birthday Wishes for Somebuggy to love ☺

Hiya! My friend Drew asked me to make his wife a birthday card, and here it is. I can share it now because yesterday was her birthday and she got her card. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERESA! ☺ I know it pretty much looks like a Valentine's day card, but after I saw what he wanted me to write inside, I HAD to make it super "lovey"!!! I cut the "lovebug" and the birthday hat from my Simply Charmed cricut cartridge. I ADORE this cartridge! Just too cute!
I stamped the faces with the Christmas Character Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps.com. Yep, Christmas faces on a lovebug and birthday hat! The birthday wishes stamp is from PaperTreyInk.com and the sombuggy to love is from My Pink Stamper. I hope you're having a GREAT day! ☺

☺Buggy Huggies☺

where flowers bloom, so does hope

Hiya peeps! Here is another card that I will be donating to my friend's breast cancer fundraising event. I used Simply Charmed for the flower, and it would have been cute if I had just used the face the cartridge cuts...but it is ADORABLE with the addition of the super cute PeachyKeen face! ☺ This face is from the Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment.
Sorry for the quick posting, but I gotta get back to my card assembly line! ☺ Hey, these cards aren't going to make themselves! hahahahahah

HAVE A GLORIOUS DAY!!!

Kindergarten Card...and Coloring page ☺

Hello all! The UPS man brought me the new cricut cartridge called Simply Charmed yesterday and boy is it CUTE! My friend Trina's lil guy is starting kindergarten soon, so I made this card for him. ☺ The crayons are from Simply Charmed and the kindergarten sign is from the Locker Talk cartridge.
I popped up the top layer to the crayon box and also did two score lines to make like a little flap. Just kept this one pretty simple, but I bet lil' Mason will get a kick out of it! Geez I remember being TERRIFIED on my first day of kindergarten, and the pictures I have are solid proof of my memory! LOL

Have a GREAT day! I'm off to PLAY! ☺

♥ Nikki ♥

And PLAY I did! I picked up some cricut markers a while back and decided to give them a go. So, I designed a coloring page in my gypsy to go with the kindergarten card. I bet Mason will enjoy coloring it in! ☺
The faces I used are from the Fun Kiddie Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps. I just ADORE these sweet little faces!

Ok, bye again! hehehehehe
