Cheers to 21

Hiya! Here is the card I made for my nephew Mike's 21st birthday. GASP! 21? Am I THAT old??? I have to remind myself that I was only 12 when he was born, so I'm good. ;) Anyhoozle, I started by stamping the beer mugs from the Cheers For Green Beer set from PeachyKeenStamps. I colored them with my prismacolor markers from my art school days {that I just found in the closet and can't believe they still work!} I coated them with glossy accents to make them look like glass. For the foam, I added rock candy stickles. 

I filled the shaker window with Summer Sun, Snow White, and Black sequins from Neat and Tangled. The "21" are cool glittery thicker stickers. :)

CHEERS! Using my NEW Smiley Cards!!!

Hiya friends! I got the update in my gypsy yesterday and this is my first creation using Smiley Cards. I LOVE this cartridge..SO CUTE! But for my beer, I didn't want it to be cutesy...So I hid the face that would cut otherwise. I ran the beer "foam" through the cuttlebug in the divine swirls folder. I used tea dye and vintage photo Tim Holtz Distress inks to mess it up a bit.

I ran the "mug" part through the cuttlebug in the distressed stripes folder. After that I saturated the paper with dazzle versamark ink...I then did a few coats of UTEE {ultra thick embossing enamel} to make the "glass". The dazzle ink makes it look like a frosted mug! It really looks cool in person! The sentiment is from the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun set from PinkByDesign. Ok, that's my card! I'm off to cut our stencils for our pumpkins!
