Hello! It's Thrifty Thursday at MyCreativeTime. Today we use scraps or leftovers to create a project. For my card today I used a piece of watercolor paper I had laying on my desk. I used the Build A Pretty Flower set from MyCreativeTime to make my flowers. I wanted a messy-ish watercolor look. I inked up my stamps with Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks. I then misted the stamps with water from about a foot away 3 times. {too many mists and it gets way messy}
I stamped the outlines of the flowers from the Build A Pretty Flower set, but I stamped them wonky for a more artsy look. I stamped the stems and leaves and free hand painted in the leaves with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I painted in the flower centers with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. The greeting is from the fabulous new set called You Are Fabulous.
Have a great day!

Very pretty card. You really did one fab stamping job....you really chose such pretty colors. Your added sequins was the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, love the water colour distress stamping...fabulous!!! Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Love those bright colors!!!
ReplyDeleteNikki ~ simply STUNNING! LOVE the inks you chose ~ so vibrant, cheerful and AMAZING!!! So happy to see you back in action! WHOO HOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercolor stamping. The matching strip with thin black adds and balances the design. I like the sequins for a little shine. It is so easy to make wrong choices for colors or papers etc. and you have a knack for knowing what is perfect to put together. Wonderful job on your card.
