Turkey Card

hello! the mailman brought me a ton of peachykeen stamps (peachykeenstamps.com)yesterday, so i just had to break them in! i cut the turkey a bunch of times with my "animal kingdom" cricut cartridge at 3 inches (cut apart and layered it)...i stamped her cute face with the 3/8" bird face from the "Winter Face Assortment" (PK-520)...i colored in her beak with an orange Sakura Souffle pen (it raises a lil' when it's dry!) then i used my new "Medium Polka Dot Print" (PK-101) to create the pattern on the Craft cardstock...i first inked it up with Tim Holtz "Distress" embossing powder (to get it good and juicy) i then inked over that with Colorbox ink in "cream white"...then stamped my image and sprinkled "Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel" over it and melted it with my heat gun...i added "UTEE" 2 more times...so the end result is cool little domed white shiny dots...the Plaid paper is from the "Nana's Nursery Baby girl" stack from DCWV...i added a dollar ribbon from Michaels and called it done ;o)

*i'm not gonna lie...this one kinda took forever what with the hand stitching and all...but i think it turned out cute, so it was worth it!*

Thankful For You

HELLO!!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! i started working on this card last night, but just wasn't happy with it...then i went to Michaels today and found that blue ribbon for a dollar...and the "thankful for you" stamp in the clearance aisle for only 94 cents!!!! ALWAYS check the clearance aisle!!!! also while i was in M's i stopped and played with the gypsy for a while...IT IS SO COOL!!! maybe Santa will bring it to me. ;o) ok, enough about my shopping adventure...

i embossed the background the same way i did on my 2 lil' Indians card...****TIP...i rub the paper i'm going to emboss with a dryer sheet to eliminate the static...this helps the excess embossing powder to slide right off!!***

i cut this lil' pilgrim with my "paper doll dress up" cricut cartridge...him and all his accessories are cut at 3 1/4 inches...popped him up...added ribbon and sentiment and called it done!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!

2 lil' Indians

hello! happy almost weekend! ;o) for my background paper i used clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder to create a tone on tone look with a little leaf stamp...the paper strip at the bottom i ran through my cuttlebug in the "distressed stripes" embossing folder.... i cut these 2 adorable lil' Indians using my "paper doll dress up" cricut cartridge...i cut their bodies on blackout at 3 1/4 inches (blackout so i can stamp their faces with my 'peachykeen.com face stamps')...for the girl indian i ran her dress through my cuttlebug on the "leather" fiskars embossing plate...for the boy i cut out his headdress twice and folded glue dots in half to make it pop up just a little bit...i used my exacto knife to cut away a few feathers....i added pop dots to the back of both lil' indians...and there ya go! ;o)

Thinking of You

hello. my friend recently lost her grandmother, so i made her this card. i cut the scalloped card using my "wild card" cricut cartridge on the blackout feature at 5 3/4inches. i then cut out three circles in coordinating papers...i cut the black circle in half and ran it through my cuttlebug in the "hounds-tooth" embossing folder...i then used my ATG-714 gun to adhere it (need some really sticky adhesive when adhering embossed papers)...i added a few borders...then i used "zip dry" glue to adhere the button to my crocheted flower...and i used "zip dry" to adhere my crocheted flower to the card...all papers and borders used on this card are by Making Memories "Sabrina" line...no longer in the stores, but can be found online i think. thanks for stopping by! ;o)
