Another Valentines day without my Love

It's another Valentines day without my husband. He is at sea serving our country, and I am proud that he is. This day doesn't mean much to me, as I am much more thankful for him to be home on Christmas or Thanksgiving. What this day makes me think about is the crazy amount of love I feel for him after all these years. The military life is not something that I would wish on anyone. It is a life that is unpredictable at best. Although after all these years together I can not for one second imagine my life without my husband. So in the spirit of Valentines day I just want to salute my husband and all the other military wives that spend their lives waiting for their men to come home.
Here's to the next 11 years sweetheart! I love you!

  1. Hurrah, Hurrah, Here's to your husband for being out there protecting us. To my husband of 29 years who did it for his 20 years and to my son who is away from his wife out there now. It is the most difficult job to do what you are doing. I salute you! And your next 11 years with your hubby!! Happy Valentines Day.

  2. Oh and after I read your post to my husband, I said, "She's really pretty." And Tom said, "All Navy Wives are beautiful." I laughed and said, "no they aren't." He said, "to their Sailors they are." Which of course, made me tear up. He's right! And so am I. You are so beautiful!

  7. God bless you and your honey. Hang in there girly. My hubby was deployed last year for all those important holidays, so I'm sure you'll know what I'm saying when I tell you that it makes the ones you do get to spend with them that much more special.
