Head of the Class Blog Hop!

Hiya!!! You should have arrived from Shar's Blog, if not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my first card, I started by stamping the Fun Letter Background with black ink on kraft cardstock. Then I stamped the lined background from the Get Schooled set onto the 3x4 Journal Die. I then used the Fun Stitched Edges die to cut the top. 

The teacher die cut and apple are both from the new set called Love To Learn. I gave the apple googlie eyes and drew in a mouth with a black marker. :) The number 4 is from the new Number Fun Dies. The my was stamped using the Alpha Pack. And my next card uses this new release in a totally non-school related and completely simple way...

I used the new Uppercase Fun Dies to cut out the negative of UR for my panel. I used picked raspberry distress ink to do an ombre panel for behind the letters. I covered it with clear wink of stella glitter pen. You can see the shine here...

I stamped the greeting from the new Love To Learn set with charcoal Hero Arts shadow ink. Super simple card, but I love it! :)

Teacher Thank You Card

My friend Steph's son will be giving this card to his teacher. I again used my Gypsy to weld two apple shadows from Create-a-Critter to make this shaped card. So, it's the same base as yesterday's card, but has a completely different look. I used my Calvin and Hobbes font to make the tag with his teacher's name on it. I thought it looked like a kid's writing. ;o) And to finish it off I added HUGE googlie eyes...we're talkin' HUGE!!! They are the size of a quarter! I got them in a variety pack at the Dollar Tree.
