Thinking of you

Hi! My card today is inspired by one in the Stretch Your Stamps 2 class. On that card, the artist used water to remove some color from a distress ink colored image. I liked that idea, but changed it a bit and used a mixture of perfect pearls and water. I started this card by white heat embossing the Large Flower Background from Hero Arts. Then I sponged on Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, and Dried Marigold Distress Inks.
I used a paint brush to add the perfect pearls and water mixture to the flowers. I used a mix with less perfect pearls to do the stems and leaves. I stamped the greeting from the Vintage Sentiments by MyCreativeTime with picked raspberry ink. I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the sparkle of the perfect pearls. :)

I hope you're having a great weekend.

Happy Halloween

Hello! I made this card today using the super cool new Happy Halloween Background stamp from PeachyKeenStamps. I knew right when I saw this stamp that I wanted to do embossed resist on patterned paper. :) I stamped it with Tim Holtz embossing ink on patterned paper. Then I clear heat embossed it. The magic happens when you add ink...the fun part! I used seedless preserves and dusty concord distress inks to add lots of color. This makes the patterned paper pop through the clear embossing. So fun!
For a few finishing touches I added gems to a few of the gooey drips...and used my sakura glitter pen to add a glitter shadow to the letters. You could make a ton of these cards super quickly. :)

I hope you're having an awesome day!

Happy Birthday Stripes

Hello! Happy Monday to ya! For my card today I started by white heat embossing the fabulous Candy Stripe background from PeachyKeenStamps. It's called Candy Stripe, but as you can see it's totally not just for Christmas. :) I colored it in with the newest rainbow of distress markers, and then I sprayed it half to death with a mixture of perfect pearls and water in a mini mister. That sentiment is from the Reverse Sentiments set from PeachyKeenStamps. It's super cool because it stamps the background and the text will show through in whatever color paper you stamp on. Lots of possibilities! OH, and I put that sentiment on a Wobble so it wiggles. :)

I hope you're having a fantastic day! See ya tomorrow. :)
