My Hero

Hello! Here is my layout that I made for my second to last day on the Everyday Cricut Blog. :( It is super simple and will be going in my hubby's Navy album. As soon as I get the pics back, it will be of his advancement to First Class Petty Officer. ;) The "my Hero" and the pointy stars are from the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge. The rounder stars are from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. And the sweet faces on the stars are from the Boy Mates set from PeachyKeenStamp.com.

See you tomorrow with LOTS more stuff!!!

9-11 Blog Hop and GIVEAWAYS ☺

On this day, nine years ago, the world changed. The shameful actions of a few forever altered the lives of so many. I wasn't alive to remember where I was when JFK was assassinated, but I sure remember where I was on September 11, 2001. My husband and I were stationed in Guam, and I remember being terrified that we were such an easy target in the middle of the ocean. I mean, if they were brazen enough to attack downtown NYC, why not our little island of Guam?! But, thankfully, that did not happen. We were lucky. So many others were not. To those who lost loved ones that day, bless you and your families. Now, in a somewhat awkward segway, on with the hop we go!
For my first card, I made a "bomb pop". I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge and the Princess Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps for the sweet little face. The ADORABLE sentiment is from the Simply Everything stamp set by Pink By Design. That set ROCKS!!!!

For my next card, I used the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge. I actually got the idea for this card when my husband came home from the ship and plopped his boots in the middle of the floor! LOL Ahh, men! ☺ I adore this sentiment from the Rock On stamp set by Pink By Design.

For my last card, I used the Boys Will Be Boys cricut cartridge. I know this doesn't look "traditionally manly", but I LIKE IT! ☺ Well, I hope you enjoyed my cards today! Now, onto some fun GIVEAWAYS!!!!

The sponsor for this hop is Craft-E-Corner and they are donating a Cricut A-Z dvd to one lucky hopper AND a 10% off coupon code to ALL hoppers! For all the details on this, hop over to Sarah's {Pink Cricut} Blog.

I will be choosing one lucky hopper to receive a $25 gift certificate to the PinkByDesign store!!! Cool, huh?! You can pick out which set/sets you would like!!! I have to say I LOVE them all!!!!

Now, keep on hoppin' to see what the other talented bloggers have for you!

Peachy Keen Challenge 32

Hello! It's time for another PeachyKeen Challenge! The challenge this time is to create a card or a layout based on your favorite vacation destination. Your project also must include one of the following 3 things...buttons, brads ,or bling. So, for my card, I chose to do my favorite vacation spot Disney World. And, more specifically, my favorite ride/attraction the Haunted Mansion! I actually LOVE to wait in line for it because of the funny/clever things they have written on the tombstones. So to mimic that, I made up "stampy" sayings for mine. I actually cracked myself up with the middle one! HAHA!
Almost everything came from the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge. Here's what didn't...The clouds are from Stand and Salute...the moon is from Don Juan...and I hand cut the little cobblestone path to the Haunted Mansion. I used the Make a Monster Face Assortment for my two ghosts. For my menacing moon I used the Monster Mash Face Assortment. I hope you will pop over to the Challenge Blog and play along with us! You could win Boogie Board Max, a Memento Ink pad, and an acrylic block! Have a great day!
