flower text

Just a quick post of a card made using one of my favorite stamps, sorry if you get sick of seeing it! Hehe. It's the Flower Text stamp from Hero Arts. I paper pieced it with papers from the Sweet Threads collection from Basic Grey.
Added some glossy accents here and there and called it done. :)

Hello and happy Friday! I'll get to the enabling portion of this post in a bit! For my super simple card I first stamped and white heat embossed the Hearts A Plenty background stamp from MarketStreetStamps. {it's only 8 bucks!} I then used my ink blending tool to ink it up with mowed lawn distress ink. I'm in love with this green! I made a green mist with forever green perfect pearls and water in a mini mister. Now I have my own custom green sparkle spritz! ;) If you look closely you can see the sparkle here...
It's really pretty in real life. The sentiment is from the Great Big Greetings set from MarketStreetStamps. I finished it with a punched heart that I inked and misted. I added glossy accents to it when it dried. Now..............onto the enabling! ;)

3D Wednesday-Magical Holiday

Hello and welcome to 3D Wednesday over at MyCreativeTime. For my 3D item I made a gate-fold card. The instructions are right in the flippy lid of the Martha Stewart scoring board. I stamped and white heat embossed the large sentiment and snowflakes from the It's A Magical Season set from MyCreativeTime. I used  peacock feathers and seedless preserves distress ink and my foam blending tool to add the color. I then spritzed with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister for shine.
See the shine? Really pretty in real life. And here's the card opened...
The sentiment is from the Warm Holiday Fun set from MyCreativeTime

Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks!

Hello! It's sneaky peek time again for PeachyKeenStamps. This release is gonna knock your socks off! This sweet witch is from the new September 2012 set. Is she not the cutest little witchy girl ever?! I paper pieced her with papers from the Peachy Picks Kit. I added glossy accents to the beaker and rock candy stickles to her hat. Love that stuff!
I wish the shine showed up better. The sentiment is from a new set too. :) And here is a card made with the new September 2012 set and lots and lots of distress ink. I got really messy making this one!
I stamped the leaves from the September 2012 set onto watercolor paper using distress inks and water so the colors would blend together. See that background? It's a new stamp too! YEAH for awesome background stamps!
For the background I inked up paper with distress inks in swipes of color. Let that dry completely and then heat embossed the background with clear embossing powder. Then over that I used my inking tool to add gathered twigs distress ink. This is a really fun way to get a multi colored stamped image. The sentiment is from the September 2012 set. Oh, and I added rocky candy stickles to the leaves. :)

There is still time to get in on the sale!

p.s. today is my 13th anniversary. :) ♥ my sailor!

Just a note

Hello! Nikki here with a card today. I used the sweet pencil from the August 2012 set. I stamped it in different ways to make the background. I stamped it again a few times to paper piece it using paper from the Peachy Picks Kit
I added glossy accents to the silver part and tip of the pencil. I stamped the greeting on vellum so the pencils could be seen through it.

I hope you have a Peachy day!

♥ Nikki ♥

oh and HAPPY SHOPPING! :)

BIGGEST PEACHY SALE EVER!!!! and a card :)

Hiya! I made this card for my nephew. I used the adorable Smartie The Owl set from PeachyKeenStamps. I paper pieced him with papers from the High School mat stack from DCWV. The Sophomore papers just happen to be in his school colors...which, once upon a time, were my school colors too! :) I put Smartie the Owl on a wobble so he wiggles.
The sentiment is also from the Smartie The Owl set. I white heat embossed it. To finish it off, I added glossy accents to the glasses. Ok, now on to the sale...hold on to your hat!
