Hiya! I busted out the adorable Rocket Blast stamp set from PeachyKeenStamps and made this card. I used the Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies from MyCreativeTime to inlay the clouds for my background.
The face in the window is from the Kawaii Face Assortment by PeachyKeenStamps. I finished it off by adding some glitter with my sakura clear star glitter pen...and added glossy accents to the window. Oh, the patterned paper is from the Boy Crazy collection by My Mind's Eye.

Sending Sunshine Shaker

Hello! I placed an order at Scrapbookpal.com last night and noticed they have a challenge, so I decided to play along. The challenge is to use Spellbinders to create a project. So I got out my Labels 8 Spellbinders dies to create this shaped shaker card. :) I used the Cartoon Clouds Background by MyCreativeTime and Soft Pool Shadow Ink to stamp the inside of the card.
I stamped the sun from the Tropical Vacation Kitty Cat set by PeachyKeenStamps. That sweet face on the sun is from the Kawaii Face Assortment by PeachyKeenStamps. The greeting is from the February 2014 set by PeachyKeenStamps. The shaker is filled with Lemon and Crystal Clear sequins.

I'm glad I found that challenge. I had fun making this shaker. :)

After I was done I spritzed it with perfect pearls and water.
I stamped the greeting from the Year Round Sentiments set by Hero Arts and white heat embossed it on vellum...and then I filled my little shaker with sequins. :) I finished it off with some glitter pen and added glossy accents here and there.

Birthday Stars

Hello! I made another card today for the Hero Arts Birthday Challenge. Today I decided to enter under the metallic category. I used the 3 Stitched Star Dies from MyCreativeTime to make the openings for my sequins. I wanted to keep it really simple, so I just stamped the Happy Definition Background by Hero Arts.
I kept this super simple so it could work for a guy birthday card as well....well, a guy who digs sequins. ;)

Happy Birthday Rainbow Funness ;)

Hello! I'm playing along in the Hero Arts Blog Birthday Card Challenge. One of the categories is to make a birthday card with rainbow colors...so I of course picked that one. :) I white heat embossed the Hexagon Background by Hero Arts. Then I used the new seasonal Distress Markers to color it in. When I was finished coloring I spritzed it with a mixture of perfect pearls and water in a mini mister. Then I used an exacto knife to cut out some hexagons to turn into shaker windows. :) Then I filled the shakers with a rainbow of sequins
For the greeting strip I used the same colors and brushed over it with the perfect pearls mixture. I made sure it was super dry and white heat embossed the greeting from the Year Round Sentiments by Hero Arts. That's it...I hope your eyes are ok. ;)

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. The new seasonal distress inks are on sale for just 26 bucks at Blitsy right now! If you sign up and order through my link you'll help me earn money for a future purchase...and they you can do the same!

Hello! I hope you're having a nice day. :) For my card today I started by white heat embossing the Scalloped Rooftop Background from PeachyKeenStamps. Then I colored it with distress markers and sprayed it with a mix of perfect pearls and water. Then I stamped the adorable ice cream cone from the Yummies set by PeachyKeenStamps. I used distress markers to color that too.
Those faces are from the fabulous new Kawaii Face Assortment set. LOVE THEM SO MUCH! And here is a picture of the sentiment I stamped on the inside of the card...
This greeting is from the Celebrate Good Times set from MyCreativeTime. It goes perfectly with the sweet ice cream cone. :)

Tag It Tuesday

Hello! It's Tag It Tuesday at MyCreativeTime. Today I put my tag on a card. :) I started this card by making my striped background with 1/4 inch strips of cardstock. I wanted a rainbow to match the little camera shaker I made. I cut the Stitched Camera Die with a rainbow of cardstocks, and also in white and black. I wanted to be able to see the rainbow from the side of the camera. As you can see here...
Pretty cool lookin', huh?! :) I used my sakura glitter pen to make the viewfinder and flash holes shiny and sparkly as well.
I stamped the "Smile" greeting from the Things I Love set by MyCreativeTime...and under that I stamped the "it's your day" from the Teeny Tags Holiday set by MyCreativeTime...on the Tag Dies from MyCreativeTime

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more creations! :)

p.s. This rainbow layered camera totally reminds me of a rainbow layered crayon I got in a trix box as a kid. :)

PeachyKeen Challenge

Hello! I'm playing along in the current PeachyKeen Color/Photo challenge. I LOVE these colors, so I busted out some inks and started stamping. :) Here's my card...
The inks I used are all Hero Arts Shadow Inks...Pale Tomato, Orange Soda, Tide Pool, and Green Hills. I stamped that fabulous greeting from the Reverse Sentiments set by PeachyKeenStamps with Pale Tomato ink. The I stamped a bunch of medium sized circles with the little circle from the December 2013 set.
For the littlest dots I used a pencil eraser as a stamp. :) I filled my shaker with sequins, and added some to the front panel and called it done.

You can play along in the challenge HERE

Cheeky Valentine's Day Card ;)

Let's just say that someone forgot Valentine's Day...so that someone is getting this card instead of the lovey one I made. ;) It's all in good fun. I used the Lowercase Fun Dies from MyCreativeTime to make this super fast and funny card. {seriously took 5 minutes} The heart in the O is from a Martha Stewart hearts punch.

I hope you're having a nice Valentine's day!

PeachyKeen Challenge

Hello! I decided to play along in the current PeachyKeen Challenge. The challenge is to follow the above sketch. Here is my take on it...
I paper pieced the adorable bear from the new February 2014 set. Isn't that face the cutest?! It's also in the February 2014 set from PeachyKeenStamps
I just had to give her that sweet little bow that's also in the February 2014 set. All the papers are from the Vintage Bliss collection by Simple Stories. {my all time fave paper}

You have until tomorrow night to enter the challenge. Better late than never, right? ;)

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. In case you're wondering...THIS is the white gel pen I use. It's my fave. :)

Try Me Tuesday *Double Stamping*

Hiya! It's "Try Me Tuesday" over at MyCreativeTime. Today we are doing "Double Stamping". Basically just stamping one image over another. I made a totally simple set of note cards. I started by using the Stitched XL Label die to create a mask from some Post-It craft paper. Then for each card I used the Coffee Backgrounds set to first stamp the argyle in a light color, and then the text in a darker shade. Super easy! For this first card I used soft brown and cup of joe shadow inks.
For this one I used Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam shadow inks.
And for this last one I used Soft Purple and Grape Juice shadow inks.

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more projects.

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. Before I took the masks off the cards, I outlined them with a marker in the darker shade to define the edge of the die shape. :)

Happy Birthday Stripes

Hello! Happy Monday to ya! For my card today I started by white heat embossing the fabulous Candy Stripe background from PeachyKeenStamps. It's called Candy Stripe, but as you can see it's totally not just for Christmas. :) I colored it in with the newest rainbow of distress markers, and then I sprayed it half to death with a mixture of perfect pearls and water in a mini mister. That sentiment is from the Reverse Sentiments set from PeachyKeenStamps. It's super cool because it stamps the background and the text will show through in whatever color paper you stamp on. Lots of possibilities! OH, and I put that sentiment on a Wobble so it wiggles. :)

I hope you're having a fantastic day! See ya tomorrow. :)

You're One Cool Cat

Hello! First off I apologize for the horrible photo's. Grr. I'll have my new camera soon. Yay! Anyhoo, I started this card by coloring the adorable kitty from the Diddle Diddle set from PeachyKeenStamps. For the body of the kitty I used only one distress marker in spiced marmalade. I controlled the color by adding more and less water to my brush. I used vintage photo for the violin and spun sugar for his ears. I used the Polka Dots stencil by Heidi Swapp to create my patterned paper with orange soda and bubble gum hero arts shadow inks. Then I cut a circle out of the side with a die.
That greeting is from the Cool Cats set from PeachyKeenStamps.  I finished it off with sequins, gems, and some sakura glitter pen on the violin. :)

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. HAPPY WALKING DEAD DAY! :)

I ♥ you

Hello! Happy Saturday to ya! This morning I played with the adorable new set from PeachyKeenStamps called Tropical Vacation Kitty Cat. Is that not the cutest kitty ever???!!! I paper pieced her with papers from the Sweethearts collection by Doodlebug. Loving this cute paper.
The sentiment is from the new February 2014 set from PeachyKeenStamps. I love how this one turned out. EEK, I ♥ that kitty! Oh, the sweet face is also from the new Tropical Vacation Kitty Cat set.

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. Sorry for my horrible pictures lately, I've had to use my phone...BUT that's about to change because I finally ordered a new camera today, yay! :)

Whatever Wednesday *Happy Valentine's Day*

Hello! It's Whatever Wednesday at MyCreativeTime. This is the day we make whatever we want. :) I used the Lowercase Fun Dies to create my own stencil. I went over that stencil with white embossing paste to make my "happy" word. I ♥ embossing paste! I stamped the hearts from the sweet new set called Puffy Hearts Just For You with soft cantaloupe, fresh peach, and pale tomato Hero Arts inks. The greeting is also from that set, but I masked off the word happy.

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more creations!

♥ Nikki ♥

p.s. Watch THIS video by the insanely talented Jennifer McGuire for more info on embossing paste.
