MyCreativeTime Blog Hop

Hello! You should have arrived from Nancy's Blog, if not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my card today I used the fabulous new Build A Chevy Background set to create my ombre background. I used Pale Tomato, Fresh Peach, and Soft Cantaloupe Hero Arts Shadow Inks. I used the awesome Vintage Stitched Label die to create my window.
I white heat embossed the greeting from the Girls Night Out set on vellum. I stamped the stars from the Spooky Starry Night set with soft cantaloupe ink on some cardstock and slipped it behind the vellum window. I added some Crystal Clear sequins and called it finished. :)

MCT Sneaks Day 3

Hello! It's day 3 of sneak peeks for MyCreativeTime! For my card today I've used the beyond fabulous new Build A Chevy Background and new Let's Celebrate set. I started by stamping my ombre chevron background with Pale Tomato, Fresh Peach, and Soft Cantaloupe Hero Arts Shadow Inks. I ♥ these colors together! I used the Vintage Label Die to create my window.
I stamped the word "party" from the new Let's Celebrate set a bunch of times and put it behind the window I made. Those banners??? Cute, eh?! They're also from the new Let's Celebrate set. I stamped em twice with pale tomato ink, and then paper pieced with the other two ink colors. :)

Inspire Me Tuesday

Hello! It's Inspire Me Tuesday at MyCreativeTime. I was inspired by the above banner for the new Pearl Jam album {I see this artwork every day on the Pearl Jam site...I'm an addict} :) Here is my card...
I cut out the lightning bolt with my cricut and the Pooh And Friends cartridge. Yep, the Pooh cartridge! LOL! Lots of hidden gems on that one. I stamped the Cartoon Cloud background with Hero Arts Charcoal shadow ink. I traced the lightning bolt and glued my sequins. :)
I stamped the greeting from the Treasured Moments set from MyCreativeTime. Added a few more sequins and called it done. :)

Eat Cake

Hello! I made this to play along in the Little Tangles Challenge. The theme is cake to celebrate Neat And Tangled's first birthday. Yay! Sooooo in love with their sequins! The greeting is a free digi on their challenge blog. I sized it and printed it out. Then I wanted to make a sequin cake to go with the greeting. I was going to use my cricut or silhouette, but decided it would be hard to perfectly line up the already printed greeting so.......... I just eyeballed it and cut out some "cake" rectangles with my trimmer and exacto knife. Super easy. And then the fun/relaxing part for me, gluing the sequins. I use glossy accents to glue them down. A little dab and a sequin...repeat. :)

P.S. Sorry for the awful photo. It's storming like crazy here. Anyone have a spare ark? ;)

Inspire Me Tuesday

No, this isn't a Downy add, it's Inspire Me Tuesday at MyCreativeTime! :) I was inspired while doing laundry. Isn't this fabric softener bottle pretty?! I really liked the pinks and orange, and thus this card was born...
I started by stamping and white heat embossing the Type Calendar. A cool way to get more use out of your calendar stamp! :) I quickly colored it with worn lipstick and spiced marmalade distress markers. Then I sprayed it half to death with a mixture of perfect pearls and water in a mini mister and let it dry. You end up with a sparkly watercolor look. I used the same inks and perfect pearls mixture to splatter my card base.
I cut a circle out of if with a die to create a shaker window. I heat embossed the greeting from the fabulous It's All About You set on vellum. I used vellum to make the window more subtle than using acetate. I filled the window with sequins from Neat And Tangled

Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more "inspired by" projects.

p.s. If you're wondering, that fabric softener smells divine! :)

PeachyKeen Challenge

Hello! It's time for another PeachyKeen Challenge. The challenge this time is to follow the above sketch. For my card, I flipped the sketch on its side...
I LOVE the paper from the Vintage Bliss collection by Simple Stories. LOVE. IT. I was "eeking" out loud while I paper pieced the kitty from the new August 2013 set from PeachyKeenStamps. A plaid kitty??? Yep! :)
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punches to make the 3 accents for this card. The bottom layer of the butterflies is vellum that I embossed with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder.

Peachy Keen Stamps Sneaks! :)

Hello Peachy Pals!!! It's sneak time again for PeachyKeenStamps!!! First up is this absolutely darling puppy from the new August 2013 set. Isn't he/she cute?! I paper pieced this puppy in a jiffy. ;)
To finish off this simple card, I stamped the bones around the circle. The bones are also from the new August 2013 set. And this next card is the product of my weird imagination. HA! The second I saw this next sentiment, I saw a rockstar kitty in my head, and then this card happened....
Tee hee! That sentiment from the new August 2013 set just looked like it needed to be sung by a rockstar kitty to me! HA! I paper pieced the kitty from the new August 2013 set. His face is also from that set, but I drew in an open {singing} mouth. ;)
The microphone is from the Karaoke Birthday set from PeachyKeenStamps. And here is the inside...
The inside greetings are also from the new August 2013 set. Here's something fun that I noticed after I finished this card...when it's open, the light shines through the opening on the front, and it looks like kitty is in the spotlight! :)

I hope you liked my cards today, cuz I do! :) Rockstar kitty makes my ♥ happy! :) Pop over to the PeachyKeen Blog to see more sneaks!
