Have Fun at the lake

Hello! For my card today I used the Camping Critters cartridge to make my card base and for my little fishy. To give my fishy texture I used the Extra Small Polka Dot set from PeachyKeenStamps.com.  I used Emma's stamp set called Have Fun in the Sun to make my own patterned paper and for my sentiment. I stamped the words randomly and used my Tim Holtz distress inks in the colors broken china and shabby shutters. I ♥ these colors together! I then misted lightly with water in a mini mister while the ink was still wet to get a more watery effect. And to finish it off I sprayed a little bit of perfect pearls in a mini mister to give it a little sparkle.

P.S. Who else is super bummed that Casey Anthony didn't testify??? BOO!

Happy Birthday

Hello! For my card today I used FOUR different stamp sets and 3 of them are background stamps! Can you spot em all??? Ok, I'll point them out. ;) Oh, and they're all from PinkByDesign. The main portion is the Newsprint background stamp. I stamped it on white and used Tim Holtz distress inks in Old Paper and Antique Linen...in fact, those are the inks I used for this entire card. I then stamped the Canvas Backround stamp and inked it up. I punched the butterflies out of some of it, and used the rest to make the strip at the bottom...I stamped over that with the Distressed Music background stamp and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
The perfectly shabby sentiment is from the Vintage Greetings set which I just LOVE and think is a total must have!!! Okie dokie, that's my card for today. Gotta get back in front of the t.v. court is back in session! I am OBSESSED with the Casey Anthony trial...I know I'm not alone there! HA

PeachyKeen Challenge 55

HI!!! It's PeachyKeen Challenge time again and this week we have the above sketch to follow. No twist this time. ;) For my card, I flipped the sketch on its side...
I stamped the cute kleenex box from the Ballin' Bunnies set and colored it with my prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I colored it to match the striped patterned paper which is from the 6x6 Confetti Paper Pack from PeachyKeen. Yep, they carry paper too! ;) Hint Hint there are TONS of awesome goodies in the "supply" section...just sayin'! ;)
I used the Extra Small Polka Dots stamp to create my own patterned paper strip. And I stamped my sentiment from Ballin' Bunnies over top of the dots. Ok, that's my card for this challenge. Head over to the Challenge Blog to see what the other ladies made and to PLAY ALONG!!! ;)

Have a Peachy day!

The smaller star and the sentiment are from the Red, White, & Blue set. I stamped the sentiment in the ticket from the Just The Ticket set from PinkByDesign. I stamped both with embossing ink and heat embossed with white powder. OH and the twine is called AirMail from PinkByDesign as well.

Don't forget to SMILE...and a Sneakie Peekie!!!

Hello! For my card today, I'm just going to dive right into the pictures of it..and I swear it is ONE card...
smile...
wink...
oh...
See, same card with four faces because it is a SPINNER card!!! The adorable faces are from the stamp set called Cute and Cuddly Faces from PeachyKeenStamps.com. The card is found on the Wild Card cartridge on page 51 and cut out at 5.5 inches on both the blackout key and the liner key {for the spinner circle. The flower is from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge on page 47 and is found on the clothes layer and cut out at 4 inches. I mixed up a drop of distress ink reinker and a tiny scoop of perfect pearls with water in a mini mister to give my flower some color and sparkle...
See it shimmer? OH and the sentiment is from Emma's {MyCreativeTime} set called Camera Shy. Head over to the Everyday Cricut Blog to see two more examples of this type of card. ;)

***Sneakie Peekie Time***

You are going to LOVE the new releases from Emma!!! Here I am showcasing 2 stamp sets that coordinate just beautifully together called... Inspiring Words and Inspiring Words Accents. These will be available on Friday. So PRETTY, right??!!! My sweet sleeping little girl is from the Playtime cartridge. Her precious face is from the Just Baby Faces set from PeachyKeenStamps.com.
I get a lot of questions about what kind of white ink I use and the answer is I NEVER use white ink. In fact, every white ink pad I have ever tried has ended up in the trash! I stamp my images with Tim Holtz embossing ink {my favorite} and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Ok...I hope you found some inspiration here! NOW for chances to WIN some awesome stamps from Emma....Comment on this post and then head over to her BLOG and comment there as well!!!

PeachyKeen Challenge 54

Hello my Peachy Pals!!! It's challenge time again, and this time we have the above sketch for you to follow. No "twists" this time. I admit that my card is beyond simple, but I kept getting tripped up trying to add the element in the middle...oh well...here is my creation
I used the ADORABLE kitty from the Mitsy Sue and Colby Cheer Up set. I changed her face by masking the stamp with regular scotch tape and stamping a smiley face from the Sampler Package of Faces which are all just super adorable too! Kathy {Peachy Queen}  shows you a different masking technique HERE.  As usual, I colored with my prismacolor colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. I gave her collar some bling with the sakura stardust pen.
She looks just like my Jinxy girl! Right down to the white tip of her tail! ;o) The sentiments {inside and out} are from the Spring Bouquet set. Here is the inside...
Okie dokie! Pop over to the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the awesome DT ladies made and to play along!!!! I look forward to seeing YOUR creations! Happy stamping!

Congrats!

Hello and happy Monday! Here is the card I made for my "baby" nephew that graduated from the 8th grade. Sniff sniff...all growed up! Anyhoo...I used Emma's set called Follow Your Dreams for both the grad hats and the sentiments {inside and out}...Sorry the photos are so terrible...looks better in real life I swear. I stamped the hats directly onto the card and stamped some extra to cut out and pop dot up.
I heat embossed the front sentiment with white embossing powder...and here is the inside
SUPER easy card, but he's a boy and I tend to girl things up WAY too much! HA

Have a craftastic day!
