Outta this world---Spinner Card

Happy Hump day! For my card today I used the Wild Card cartridge for my Spinner Card base and wheel. The cute astronaut is from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I used the Boy Mates face assortment and the Wide Eyed Kids face assortment from PeachyKeenStamps.com for my card. His face changes as you spin the wheel around. {spin the little notched circle on the side}....

Boy Mates Face ^

Peachy Keen Challenge 46

Hello! What a great sketch we have for this challenge! I used the large and small adorable beer mugs from the Cheers for Green Beer set.

I used my clear Sakura gelly pen on the larger mugs to add shine but I could not get it to show up in the pictures. It looks like glass in real life. The "foam" is  made with frosted lace stickles.

Okie dokie...Pop over to the Challenge Blog to play along and to see what the other awesome Design Teamers have made for this challenge! Have a GREAT day!

A cut above the rest

Hiya peeps! I got the new Cricut Circle cartridge called Cricut Everyday in the mail the other day and here is my first creation with it. The card base is actually the cricut cake logo welded together with my gypsy. It's a really pretty cut! The scissors are also from this cartridge.

I used a white brad for the scissors. The sentiment is from the Simply Everything set from PinkByDesign. Yes I know that scissors are supposed to be metal...but in my head even scissors are made out of kraft! HAHA My krafty love/obsession knows no bounds!

Lucky Me, to have a friend like you!

Hello, it's design team day for Pink Cricut today! For my card I used the Swirl Curls background stamp from PinkByDesign. I glimmer misted my white cardstock with Key Lime and dried it with the heat gun. I then used Tim Holtz embossing ink to stamp the Swirl Curls...then I heat embossed with UTEE {ultra thick embossing enamel}. This way you can see the key lime glimmer mist through the UTEE...
Can you see the shine better here? ☺ It really looks cool in person. I used plain white prima flowers and used Tim Holtz embossing inks in Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint to customize the colors I wanted. The sweet sentiment is from the Luck O' The Irish set from PinkByDesign. I hope you like my card! Pop over to Pink Cricut's blog to see what the other design teamers made!

Throwback Thursday...You make me SMILE

Hiya peeps! It's Throwback Thursday time again!!! Our challenge this time is to create a project using the good ol' Walk in My Garden cartridge. I turned one of the envelopes from the cartridge into a sort of card that is the gift too. I don't know how else to explain that! HA Untie the ribbon and voila!...
I have always loved this sweet turtle from WIMG. I gave her a face using the Critter Faces Small set from PeachyKeenStamps.com. I used Martha Stewart glitter on her shell which you can now get from PeachyKeenStamps.com too! Cool, huh?!

I used the harlequin stamp from Emma's My Journaling set to make the coordinating patterned paper at the bottom. The super sweet sentiment is from Emma's set called Turn That Frown Upside Down. So pop over to Emma's Blog to see what the rest of the design team made and to play along!

Turtley Hugs!

I turned a regular old manila office supply tag into this pink and chocolate creation. I used white prima flowers and inked them to the exact colors I wanted. Then I glimmer misted over them too! ;o) I even managed to sneak a feather onto the tag. Hehe...super girly! I used the scalloped scallop edge punch from EkSuccess for the bottom. The ADORABLE sentiment is from the NEW Paper Princess set by Emma. AND this is my giveaway set!

PeachyKeen Challenge 45

Hi!!! It's challenge time again! This time we have the above sketch to follow. For my card, I flipped the sketch to have the strip at the top. All of the stamped elements on my card came from the adorable  Valentine Sweets set.
How stinkin' sweet are these little faces??!!! They are in the Valentine Sweets set as well!!! I LOVE the xoxoxoxo border stamp from this set too...I white heat embossed it...I strung the hearts on twine from PinkByDesign. I'm proud to say that I managed to make yet another totally cricut-less card...which is very VERY difficult for me lately! hehehehe

Ok, well that's my card for today...I do hope you will head over to the Challenge Blog and play along with us!!! I can't wait to see what YOU make!

There are some issues at the orchard...LOL...the challenge will be up as soon as possible!

May your dreams come true

Hiya!!! I got Emma's NEW stamps in the mail this afternoon, so I had to play with em real quick! I used the harlequin pattern stamp from the My Journaling set to create these blocks of patterned paper. I stamped it and heat embossed it in white. Then I used milled lavender distress ink to add the color.
The great big AWESOME sentiment is from the Polka Dot Surprise set by Emma too. I swear the color is way cool in real life...it's all gloomy and doomy here...No sun to brighten the picture!  See you back here tomorrow for another PeachyKeen Challenge!!! Yippe!!!

FEEL BETTER EMMA!!! She's sicky today. BOO!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello! Happy Superbowl day. Before the game madness begins, I have a picture tutorial on how I made my card for The Scrapping Cottage today. I used the Cupid Mini die and cut out a bunch in opposite directions out of Post-It craft paper. Post-It craft paper is self adhesive backed, so it works great for masking. I arranged them in a pattern I liked and then sprayed with viva pink glimmer mist...
Zap it with your heat tool to dry and set it quickly...

Peel them off and BAM you've got custom patterned paper! Using Post-It paper gives a cool water colored effect, but you could use vinyl for a crisper look. {I think}

I used Emma's You Had Me At Chocolate stamp set for the sentiment...I totally goofed and double stamped it cuz I missed a spot...It made a cool shadowed effect so I just left it...HAPPY ACCIDENT! hehe

Okie dokie...that's it for today! HAPPY SUPERBOWL PEOPLES!!!

♥ Nikki ♥

OH...almost forgot...here is the inside of the card...I used the Sympathy set from PinkByDesign....I'm sending this card to my Nana...her valentine {my Papa} passed away last year.

Conserve Water, Drink Beer

Hello! I got new stamps from PinkByDesign in the mail yesterday...So I decided to play with em today! I used the NEW background stamp called Bubbly. I inked up the stamp with embossing ink and then put Tim Holtz distress ink over it and stamped on white cardstock. I heat embossed that with clear embossing powder. Then I used 3 colors of distress inks until I got the look I wanted. I cut the beer from the Smiley Cards cartridge and dry embossed it. Then I added 3 coats of UTEE to make the glass look real. After the last coat melted, I popped it in the freezer for a sec to make it crack a little. I swear it looks cool in real life.

The AWESOME sentiment is from the Just 4 Men set from PinkByDesign. I added Distress Rock Candy stickles to the foam...it's a really cool grungy look in real life! I hope you're having a GREAT Saturday!!!

CHEERS!

Grin and Bear it

Hiya! It's PinkByDesign Team day!!! So the Superbowl is this weekend, and sadly, my CHICAGO BEARS are not in it...But when I saw this "grin & Bear it" sentiment from PinkByDesign I knew EXACTLY what I was gonna make! So I colored up the Bottoms Up Snowman from PeachyKeenStamps.com in Da Bears colors. Then I white heat embossed the Medium Polka Dot stamp from PeachyKeen and used Tim Holtz Distress inks in dried marigold and stormy sky to make my own patterned paper in bears colors.
Head over to Sarah {Pink Cricut} to see the other awesome projects from the design team! Be sure to come to Sarah's Ustream tonight at 8:30 EST to see ALL the new stamp sets!!! Click HERE to go to her Ustream
